2 'poor' credit card credit card flyers in 2 weeks?

Now a tad concerned at where these are coming from

i have signed up to the free trials for equifax and experian and these show an excellent credit score.

is there anything else i should check out to see the source of these letters?
are there any other sources these companies have access to to target likely candidates?
are the 2 agencies i have linked up to date or do these companies have any advanced information?

basically im asking what might have caused me to get two of these letters in a very recent time frame
 
it was the proximity of one to the other and the 'rebuild your credit' remarks that concerned me

vanquis and capital one out of interest
 
When i signed up to Experion for the free check, i clicked the do not contact bit, but suddenly i started to receive millions of these Emails and leaflets through the post.
 
^ good point, the second came after i signed up and i didnt click the do not send box

Yeah, pretty sure those tick boxes do nothing. Do what I do: set up an email filter to put any emails with the word "unsubscribe" in them in a junk folder and mark them all as read. Check that folder every week or two to make sure there's nothing important in there.

As for the leaflets in the post, can't help you there. I wonder what happens if you send them back to the sender without a stamp? :D

I never get them, but had a Vanquis one the other day, and also had a weird one I cant remember, with a very high interest rate
