A quick question about Prodigy radiators.

I'm planning a watercooled build into the Bitfenix Prodigy and I have most of it planned put except for the front radiator.
I was thinking either a Phobya 200mm with a Bitfenix Spectre Pro 200mm, or a Alphacool 180mm with a Silverstone SST-FM181. The silverstone fan has better air pressure than the Bitfenix one, but the 180mm rad is smaller than the 200mm one.
So I was wondering if anyone has experience with these radiators and/or fans, and which would be best.

For the rest of the build I'll be using a Black Ice GT Stealth 240 in conjunction with one of the above radiators to cool a I7 4770K, Asus Maximus 4 Impact (EK block) and a Asus R9 290.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

A larger rad will outperform slightly better fans on a smaller rad. Go with the 200mm.

one 240mm rad would be enough to cool the 290 + 4770k, if you're not looking for monster volts and overclocks

i'm running a 3770k and a 7990 on a 240mm rad in a prodigy

Sure a 240 could do the job but an extra rad would be appreciated by that 290. Running 120.5 with my 290x and 4770k, it is a little overkill on the radiator but it lets me max out MSI AB when it comes to 290x benching, hit 1300/1625 today with + 239mv!

Under water, these 290s have a lot to give. I think if you are going to put a card like a 290 under water, you should give it as much clocking wiggle room as possible.

Question to OP would then be, if you're not looking for monster volts and clocks, why are you getting the impact?

There must be something not quite right in your rig tammzy. I'm barely comfortable with 2x240mm in my Prodigy with an OC'd, naked 4670K and an undervolted 7990.

A clan member did this and went with a 240 at the top and a 140 at the front. Performs very well and he's very happy with the outcome and results.

my 7990 runs at 1050/1500 at 1.045mv and my 3770k is running at 4.2g with 1.18v
gpu temps of 50-53 during gaming

it probably wont be able to run furmark+prime simultaneously given that the rad area is small, but im not looking for it to run benches 24/7.
its not the coolest running wc setup, its very silent compared to previous air cooling and perfectly stable during gaming...that is all that's needed

I have to agree, someone is jumping to conclusions without thinking what the rig is being used for!! Nice set, wish I'd thought of that one
