Hi guys,

I've been looking at the Corsair RM750 but do you have any other recommendations? I'd like a modular one with gold rated spec or is bronze rating ok?

Got about £80 to £100 to spend.

Thanks

It really is just the efficiency and how much it will cost to run over a year, There is a chart on WiKi if you search "80 plus" that shows the difference.

The only Gigabyte and PSU incompatibility I am aware of is the OC and OC Force and the AX760i and 860i, the AX 760 and 860 non i are not effected.

We've specced that that 750+850 EVGA before while also suggesting a Gigabyte board and there hasn't been anyone running back saying their system doesn't work.

would this psu - EVGA SuperNova NEX 650W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply

power my above spec with an added 7850?

You mean 7950 as per previous post?

Would rather see a 750W version used, also the 650W and lower are not Superflowers.

sorry yes, im not on the ball tonight am I lol

no problem I will grab the 750. by the way, that's the spec you gave me two years ago :)

only having a problem now, psu has popped its pants.

I want to crossfire the gigabyte 7950 but I cant seem to find them anywhere, someone has mentioned that the new 290 is compatible but I don't know to much about them.

the 280 (non X) is a 7950 GPU in a new frock and given a new name, I actually have paid zero attention to if they can be crossfired together, try googling it and seeing what comes up.

Also check the warranty status of your current PSU? may save a ton of cash and/or give you a replacement PSU to then sell on if you do buy the EVGA.
