"We'd be lucky if you had used you're instead of your"

BOOM HEADSHOT

Both tenses can be applied to this situation, so both are in fact correct.

**** reads above post for grammar or spelling mistakes.....damn****

Syntax is a part of grammar, and given how horribly phrased the statement actually was, you could indeed have picked up on grammar issues.

Sidewinder, you have no idea how long it took me to realise Firefly was you... The giveaway was location and 680 - after wndsr ribbed you for the 680 yesterday.

I for one will not be on, it is a Fri night afterall!

If you're trying to make us think you have some sort of life, we all know it's BS. I know you're doing the "resist logging on to PC and watch TV instead so people think I'm sociable and out with friends" trick ;) ;)

Some of us actually have a life/friendships outside of a PC on a weekend ;)

I am somewhat of a prescriptivist grammar nazi, in all honesty - no harm meant of course, just poking fun :)

A descriptivist may well have let you off for the syntax involved, as it is hardly earth-shattering!

If you were you would know that the comma after "nazi" is not needed in that sentence ;) Also, a semi-colon would be more appropriate instead of the comma after "course" :D
