British Jihadist in Syria

Why? They are rebels and fighting for freedom against a dictator Assad who is gassing his own people, in fact they should be awarded by Obama and Queen herself for spreading democracy.

I never got this either. One day we are going all air strike, boots on ground regime change then the next its all Al Qaeda terrorism bad freedom fighters hush hush.

Luckily my own personal beliefs of "I don't care too much how many die or who's shelling who's family with nerve gas" prevented me from taking up arms in the name of Allah (this time)

Much better and more accurate ;)

I don't know whether you're a moron or a troll. Have you missed the last couple years of civil war in Syria? Or the human rights violations reported by Amnesty international? Is your grasp of what is going on out there that slim, that you pretend to have a clue what you're talking about and then when questioned about it retort with an "lol fixed" quip?

Well we still openly support rebels and supply them with money and weapons, there was talk of supplying them with AA launch pads... A.k.a stingers so that they can take down choppers and low flying Aircraft.

Not exactly bad freedom fighters, hush, hush... you know.

We can help as a nation or not at all its not up to religious extremists to go and fight under the belief it's justified by there misguided belief system.

Or the situation is slightly more complex than "one side good, one side bad" and there are actually quite a few factions fighting in Syria with different ideologies and eventual aims.

Attacking you? No. I'm making an observation of the evidence and through analysis arriving at a conclusion. Believe me, if I was attacking you, you'd know about it. Now slide on precious.

We chose not to help in Syria because our public doesn't have the balls to do whats right. Nearly 13 years of fighting in two countries we shouldn't have been, no problem. Removing a dictator that gases his own people, shells entire towns and cities indiscriminantly killing civilians and torturing prisoners, oh we can't do anything about that, we shouldn't get involved...

Which left the door open for various Islamist extremists to come in and fill the void that should have been taken up by the international community in supporting Syrian nationals, since not one single damn member state of the Arab league is capable of policing the region because they're all so ****ed up right now. But hey, so long as Saudi Arabia and the UAE remain stable, who gives a ****?

Well we have got involved in Libya, I suggest you read few UN reports on Libya... Pretty much everything that was done under geddaffi is being done now... a.k.a secret prisons,tortures.... Moreover the country is left in shambles no police or army... Pretty much total anarchy, all the OIL mined in Libya isnt being payed for and exported illegally... Its all in UN documents on Libya.

Actually, recently unarmed protesters where shot in Tripoli I think for protesting, many died.

The Security Council condemns cases of torture and mistreatment, and
deaths by torture, in illegal detention centres in Libya.

That was my point when I said "since not one single damn member state of the Arab league is capable of policing the region because they're all so ****ed up right now"

But keep trying to be a smart ass.

Err what?? How can we blame Arab League for anything? NATO with more military budget than rest of the world combined in recent history (from 1990) has failed to actually do anything apart from bomb the poo out of country and leave it to rot?

Every single intervention we have done, has resulted in complete shambles.... Even after such long intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan, everyone admits that once NATO leaves completely, everything will fall apart and countries will be ruled by extremists.

One would wonder, whether people of Iraq,Afghanistan,Libya,Syria would be better off if we didnt get involved at all??

Agree

The islamist terrorist's that have been put in power there tried to kill the people that was voted in by the people.

Aren't you the one complaining about the mean person on the forum calling you names? I bet you've RTM'd the post and all. Suck it up and grow a pair.

You a rather abusive individual aren't you? Well I guess this is a release for you on this forum.... People like that usually get abused in "real-life" so they become keyboard warriors seeking for vengeance.

Anyway, how about we not drag individual assaults into this thread and more or less you know, discuss the topic???

Because every country was ****ed to begin with. Every. Single. One. Anything facing the med has had an uprising or an insurgency in the past several years. Hell, my uncle was in Algeria at the oil station that was hit by Islamists just last year.

I don't know why they call them idiots either. If I had relatives in Syria I would have probably gone too. **** Assad. But all my relatives are either in England, Scotland, France or Australia. And they're all allies. For the moment.

I got my eye on you France.

POAq4sv.gif

It has nothing to do with 'relatives'. They think it's a modern Jihad - we've already seen 'rebels' (most of them aren't even bloody Syrians) execute civilians willy nilly simply because they don't associate themselves with a certain sect of Islam.

You ever thought that ermm, we couldve played a role in that?? *Tin-Foil Hat*
