As title, which is the better monitor for gaming? Not bothered about 3D, just want a nice picture that doesn't smear with motion.

When is delivery due? Saturday?
I am looking at ordering the same, although I'll probably leave it until Monday.

I would love to go 27" 1440p, but for gaming I think I would prefer a quality 24" (or 23.5" :))

Not tried the EIZO yet myself was tempted - according to someone else its not as good as the BenQ for competitive twitch shooting - but the BenQ even when calibrated I find an abomination on the eyes so tough call.

Yep tomorrow, I'll let you know how I get on, as I'm replacing a 27inch 1440p screen that has horrible backlight bleed for this.

From the reviews I've read over and over, they suggest that the BenQ is slightly faster in terms of input lag and how fast the frame is displayed (using AMA, otherwise its slower) than the EIZO, however the colours and blacks on the BenQ are terrible. The EIZO has 5 times the contrast ratio of the BenQ in real world use, and coming from an AH-IPS panel, I don't think I could loose too much of the colour quality.

I'll let you know my thoughts over the weekend though when I can test it :)

Exciting :D

I was reading the Eizo FG2421 thread on here and you can see how good the blacks are on there. From the pictures it looks as good as a Panasonic Plasma TV.

I had considered waiting for the ROG Swift but it looks to be another TN panel. The Eizo seems to be best it would seem for response rate combined with picture quality. Just a shame it's not at least 1920x1200 which is what I'd be coming from for the last 9 years - 1080 might feel like a downgrade - although everything else should be a vast improvement.

I know what you mean in regards to the resolution as I'd have also preferred more on the height to be honest, but the speed of it and image quality should make up for it as you say.

I think it will need calibrated there is a thread somewhere with the review and settings in all the modes like user 1 etc. Google eizo 2421 review and you will learn how to get 6500k and Gamma 2.2 set with Turbo on.

As some modes turn the turbo off etc. I expect on the first viewing it will be very blue in the 6000k region maybe.

Thanks for the heads up! TFTcentral mentioned something about it but I actually forgot to make a note of it, so you've reminded me.

By the looks of the tracking thing, I highly doubt it'll be delivered today -.-

If I remember rightly, DPD stop delivering parcels at noon on saturdays and the tracking thing says it hasn't even been received in york yet at their depot, which it said at 21:00 last night :(

And just been told by 5UB that I'm right and it won't be delivered today. Third time DPD have failed to delivery to me on a saturday in 12 months. Useless **** company. Not OcUK's fault, but the courier is truly terrible.
