I've taken the plunge and decided to build my next PC... I'm really excited! :D

I'm a moderate gamer, musician and movie lover, so I'm planning to build a multi-purpose PC to accommodate all above. The focus is on gaming, but need storage for music, films, photos, and maybe in the future music and film editing software.

I've bought nothing yet, just spent the last 4 days researching each component and there is lots of good advice out there, but would like expert opinions on my build... And then help/advice for the next stage, the build itself.

CPU - i5-4670K S1150 3.4GHz
CPU Cooling - Corsair H80i Hydro Series Extreme
Motherboad - MSI Z87-GD65 GAMING Socket 1150 HDMI D-Sub DVI 8-Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

Case - Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-03 Red
Case Cooling - Corsair AF120 LED Red
Graphics - EVGA GeForce GTX 770 1111MHz 2GB PCI-E 3.0 HDMI SuperClocked

Speakers - Logitech Z506 Surround Sound Speakers
Hard Drive - Crucial 240GB M500 SSD
Hard Drive2 - Seagate 1TB Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s 64MB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Optics - Pioneer DVR-221LBK 24x
Optics2 - Samsung 24x SH-224DB DVD-RW
Power - CoolerMaster 700W B-Series B700W Power Supply
Monitor - LG 22EA63V Full HD 22" IPS LED Monitor x2

So, firstly, would love to know what you think. Any obvious changes that you would make?

Secondly, should I go for an overclocked i5 processor? I'm tempted with the "ReFlex Asus Z87 - Intel Core i5 4670K @ 4.2GHz Configurable Gaming Bundle" that OverclockersUK have.

Thirdly, Graphics! I found the whole graphics card research to be hugely complicated. There is so much choice. I guess what I want now is something that will manage the majority of games, and is not going to become old hat within a year.

Lastly, I've come across arctic cooling mx-4 and it has got me thinking, what other little bits and pieces will I need for the build?

Hi there having been looking on this forum for a long time i'm sure first thing you'll be asked is how much are you willing to spend ,do you need OSand finally to wait for the new motherboards that are away to come out soon.

Budget -- I don't really want to spend over £1500 for the fully system, but I can go over-budget if needed. So far for all the components listed I've totaled it up to about £1300.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium.
Not read anything about new motherboards... tell me more.

The new Z97 motherboards should be released soon which it would be worth waiting for to see what new features they offer. I think the k CPUs (the ones you can overclock) will be released shortly after that. :)
