Radeon R9 295X2 is so powerful that NVIDIA had to delay TITAN Z release. Not often do we see a dual-GPU variant to feature higher clocks than it’s single-GPU version. PowerColors R9 295X2 Devil13 would therefore rise the bar even further. Triple-slot and triple-fan coolers are very effective and overclocking-friendly, does it mean PowerColor will beat the competition, making the fastest graphics card ever built? Will NVIDIA be faster with its TITAN Z, and most importantly, will it be slower of faster than R9 295X2? All these questions should be answered this month. Stay tunned.

PowerColor Radeon R9 295X2 Devil13 requires four 8-pin power connectors

Is this the first ever card to require four 8pin power connectors? The amount of power that can be delivered through them is absolutely insane. Of course this will affect two things, the overclocking capabilities and … your wallet, when it comes to paying for the power.

PowerColor’s R9 295X2 is triple-slot design, but it also has a backplate, so it’s even thicker. There are three fans, each of the same diameter (100mm?).

Radeon R9 295X2 Devil13 features two Hawaii XT GPUs with a total of 5760 Stream Processors. Each GPU has it’s own 4GB GDDR5 memory and 512-bit interface. At this point we have no information about the clock speeds, but I would be surprised if this card is not factory-overclocked.

Whether you like it or not, you are probably looking at the fastest graphics card on the planet.

Is Inno3d GTX TITAN-Z with custom HerculeZ cooler going to beat it? Let’s wait few more days, as both cards should be released this month.

Absolutely awesome. Don't know why, but as soon as I saw that profile pic I thought of this:

If these run cool, quiet and aren't ridiculously priced, they'll be a relative bargain vs the titan Z :)

Max 8 pin PCI-E consumption can be a lot more than 150w which is just a theoretical limit. I hear this card only needs 3 connectors mandatory and last one is optional for benching.

Nothing wrong with just 2 connectors on reference card, as I said above they can provide all the power that card needs.

I do not get the complains about the 4 8-pin connectors.

You do forget that you need 4 8pin for 2 290X, which provide the same power yes?
