Just wondered if anyone is using Bandcamp as just started using the other day as they give you the option of downloading lossless plus other formats

Great place to find new music plus i find it to be cheaper than iTunes and other download sites

I use it. A lot. It's great when bands offer up stuff for free. I always try and buy physical media if I can though. For example, I bought this CD through bandcamp and they sent me it out with a hand drawn art print with a thank you note. Nice personal touch.

Edit: Should really link the band too; http://lostintheriots.bandcamp.com/album/stranger-in-the-alps

I'll start using it as soon as I've finished my album.

It's great that as a prospective buyer, I have the opportunity to listen to albums or eps in full before deciding to part with my money. Also, artists upload their lossless master tracks and bandcamp takes care of the whole business of serving up whatever bitrate someone may require. Whether it's flac, alac, 320 of v0 mp3, ogg or AAC. Provides downloads for everyones needs. And doesn't discriminate. A lot of online stores charge extra to download lossless. Bandcamp doesn't. So even if you want say, AAC, you can always download flac or alac for archiving and than transcode yourself.

I use it to upload some original works I might be doing, works very well, not like in raking it in or anything but do get the odd sell, its the way music should be sold IMO.

Interesting site, sure I'll find some decent new music on there. Far too many good bands around that struggle for exposure

Nice site. FLAC really should be standard offering across all digital music stores by now. :/
