I just want to play my game

Indeed.

I can download a 20GB+ game quicker than it used to take me to find the CD and install a 640MB game using a 2x CD-Rom.

Monkey Island II was on 11 floppy disks on my Amiga, and didn't install to hard drive. You had to swap the disks nearly everytime you changed areas.

I am on 5mb and the date for fibre availability keeps moving.
WHEN fibre is available updates won't matter, but in the meantime they are a pain the backside.

BF2 was a bitch....it had no autoupdater built into it so I would just get kicked from a game when I had no idea there even was an update available.

I know this is a FWP but still...Uplay SUCKS

I do have decently fast internet (at night I get 12mbps) but there are times when you are in a totaly I WANNA PLAY mode and fire up your game.exe and... Uplay etc update. Ahh I just wanna PLAY

Just give us the choice to CHOOSE when to update and get a game patch.

Also Uplay is showing games I uninstalled MONTHS AGO

The Amiga 500/600/1200 didn't come with a hard drive.

It was a (very) expensive optional upgrade at the time.
1200 eventually did as did the A2000,2500,3000 but yeah I agree it was expensive cost me around £400 to buy a 52Mb HD back in the late 1980's that was a LOT of money to pay for such a device then but it made all those Lucasfilm/Lucasarts adventure more fun to play with no disk swapping. Fate Of Atlantis was actually worse disk swapping wise than MI2 but you could use external disk drives if you had any to lessen the hassle a bit as long as you had enough Chip memory free.
