So my card a few days ago without warning stopped working while browsing the internet :( 100% fan no display whatsoever anymore. Put the card in another PC same result. Put a different Graphics card in my PC it works fine. So have isolated the card as the problem. Since new the DVI port never worked properly either it had a green pixel mist but HDMI worked fine so just ignored it (perhaps that was a sign it was not QA'd properly by MSI to begin with).

Sent back to OCUK RMA got an email earlier telling me it will be sent back to MSI for repair/replacement within 28 working days.

Obviously not OCUK fault if that is MSI's RMA stance/policy.

On such an expensive high end card only 5 months old with no overclocking I would have expected an immediate hassle free replacement from MSI

I will update this thread when I hear anything back to let others know how good MSI RMA policy is on this.

I hope it's a speedy turn around for you!

I'm surprised more people don't read this thread before buying their graphics card.

Did read it before buying MSI but as always you do not expect anything to go wrong do you! IMO an expensive graphics card is only as good as its RMA warranty ;)

Asus lost my business because of their RMA service. EVGA & Gigabyte look to be the best brands to buy right now I bought into MSI as EVGA at the time had no stock in UK to sell to me!

Depending on the outcome from MSI of this RMA I will sell both my MSI GTX780 & take a heavy financial loss & buy another brand so if anyone from MSI is reading this thread its in your interest to do your best here ;)

MSI 7970, 28 days nothing heard from them. OcuK had no stock of the MSI 7970 at the time so got a full refund. As your cards are in stock your turnaround might be quicker.

MSI don't care if you sell your cards, they already have the money for them and they won't have to deal with warranty on them if they are second hand ;)

ASUS RMA was fantastic when i sent my monitor and gfx card, got upgraded both times. They seem to get bad reports but you don't allways hear about the good ones.

ocuk are normally fast tbh on rmas.
Its not OCUK here who are the holdup they sent it straight to MSI for repair/replacement within an hour of receiving it from me this morning so 10/10 to OCUK for prompt customer service.

Until MSI decide if they are going to repair/replace its in limbo :(

Just surprised MSI on high end components do not think its a good idea to give the consumer a like for like new replacement when the reseller (OCUK in this instance) agree its faulty.

Just want to update this to say MSI have not yet repaired/replaced as of today. Will update again when/if they do to share with others what standard their RMA service falls into (obviously not Tier 1 like EVGA/Gigabyte who would have replaced by now).

MSI are the manufacturer.
Your contract of sale is with OCUK, not MSI.
However, OCUK need to find out from MSI if it can be (and if it's cheaper to get it) repaired or if it needs replacing.

I know MSI are the manufacturer but OCUK told me last week:

"we do not have an exchange policy unfortunatley"

Good luck with the RMA and your contract is with OcUK and not MSI. Hopefully you won't have to wait 6 weeks like I did with Asus :(

Thanks Mate.

I hope not too :( its strange they would sell such high end parts with no exchange policy  & return to the manufacturer & await their opinion of whether or not it warrants a new like for like replacement especially as this card had a faulty from new DVI port.

That's why I created this thread as the RMA policy is obviously why many chose particular brands lets see if MSI are any better/worse than the others they still have time to prove their worth.

MSI are an utter disgrace of a company and they never used to be like this! **** poor customer support and excuses, I'd not recommend using them again.

New management perhaps?
