I liked the first one and the 2nd was ok, but the 3rd one was pretty bad imo. Now looking at a number 4, so anybody think this is going down the drain ?

Oh, Eddie Murphy is back in his roll, so too old?

Yet another sequel/reboot. Not surprising I guess given how things have been going recently. I'll be amazed if this doesn't turn out to be a pile of garbage like other recent sequel/reboots of older films.

They've left it far too long, so it will probably be atrocious. Not that doing it earlier would have made it good anyway.

I thought both die hard 4, Rambo, even the latest rocky were decent myself. Not all reboots are awful

I liked them too.

Beverly Hills cop does not need to be touched though. Surely there are better new stories to tell?

Course not. Can't have language and violence in a film series thats famous for it. 15 at most, likely to be a 12.

If they were re-making the original trio of films in a more up to date format then fine, call it a reboot but this is a sequel!!!

Oh, and just no! Note to Hollywood, make some original films rather than re-hashing old classics! (Total Recall, Robocop etc etc etc.........)

Die Hard 4 was truly awful.

But I don't understand why he said it was a reboot either? It has the number '4' in it, and doesn't re-tread older plots from the series, so in what way is it a reboot?

Normally reboots get different actors too. DH4 is still a Bruce Willis film.
