Need some films like Se7en and The Sixth Sense.

-Some Morgan Freeman film or maybe it was Denzel Washington which I can't remember the name of involving a time machine to go back in time to look to clues to solve a murder. Not Fallen, but then that's another possibility.

Deja Vu (2006) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0453467/

Eden Lake looks good - I always just assumed it was some schlock horror but obv not?

It's so chilling and so good. It's probably the reason why I'd never confront a group of unruly kids.:D

Oldie but if you have never seen it...Scum - Early Ray Winstone but superb and very gritty. Also for another oldie, I recommend Kes.

True fact: Scum was remade almost scene for scene for C4 with a lot of the original cast partly because the original BBC version was too violent... and was then promptly banned again. Doh.The original was on youtube when I looked a few years ago.

Acquiring now, looks awesome!

Just watched it... holy crap that was amazing.

Understated and yet complex British movie-making at its best, it was violent yet never once did I think it was overly gratuitous or implausible... it really resonated with me. And im sure I wasn't the only one feelingly mildly satisfied when the scum, scum that most of recognise in some form or other, got their just desserts. Epic.

Any more like this?

Just watched it, too. Good film.

On a sad note, it reminds of that case where a disabled man was kept as a prisoner and was routinely beaten and tortured, then finally murdered. :(

I think we all felt a 'victory' when they get their comeuppance, and I think the portrayal of the bad guys was almost spot on.

I need to watch it again, it's been a long time since I last saw it.

You could try This is England which was also a great film
