It's quite interesting that from all the beta testing there wasn't really a class that was totally face-rolling OP.
Stalker was wildly regarded as the most favored PvP class due to it's massive crit's from stealth and being able to re-stealth in-combat every few seconds, but there are many ways to combat ganking with all classes.
There are balance issue's as with any MMo, there's literately thousands of class builds which can be saved and changed out of combat, but it really does add to the depth of the game and level of skill of the specific player.
I'm picking the Esper class, so probably best to avoid that one as I always choose the most underplayed unfriendly below par derpy class in any MMo

You going Exile or Dominion? I've changed my choice of race yet again! Jumped over to a Draken spellslinger just to check out the animations etc last weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed the feel (bizarrely the headbob from the Chau gave me a headache after an hour or so on the spellslinger, but not when messing around with other classes on the race)
Exiles most likely. I only like the Humans on Dominion, where-as on Exiles I'd happily play any of those races, Mordesh being my fave, followed by Aurin.

Thankfully though class balance in the game is all pretty much equal no one class is better than the other

I'm kind of swinging towards Exiles now as I played mostly Dominion throughout the beta.
That's impossible with some MMO's, Ranger could not be made OP at all in GW2 but that's because it was broken. I wasn't asking for purpose of using a class if it was OP rather just hoping there wasn't one which it seems there isn't so it's cool
Esper seems like it has a chance to become op, for a while anyway. It's already pretty good but from dev posts it has quite a few improvents coming in the first main patch after launch. If they're not really carefull they'll push it over the edge.

Yep I know, but so far there is no class that is truly OP in Wildstar, although I'm sure one or two will turn out to be better than others in PvP but that's a given in any MMo.

Has there been any optimization improvements made or anything? My system is far from bleeding edge however my frame rate - regardless of settings or resolution etc. - was sticking at 20 - 30 fps, regularly lower. Seeing as it's able to run GW2, WOW and other more intensive games and is well, well above recommended spec it should be fine. I'm wondering if it was something to do with being on the US servers for the BETA but I'm not sure. The fact that the FPS didn't matter if it was 1080p or 800x600 with lowest view distance make me think it isn't my rig (yes latest drivers, no over clock etc.)
Anybody else had similar or can share some insight? I was looking forward to this and I'll be miffed if it's nigh on unplayable or headache inducing for some random reason...

Esper is one of the main classes I'm thinking of rolling. Hope they're good end game.
Esper = Warrior > Medic > Stalker > Engineer > Spellslinger
Is my order of preference currently.
No...but then the combat isnt like wow.....but if you draw comparisons they are the most a like...more so than any of the other classes.
That countdown is an hour off, it starts at 3 UK time not 4
I'm itching to get in this evening and try some of the classes out to 30. I'm still undecided on what i want to play and that level should give a better picture of how they'll play higher up.

I'll roll a warrior on Dominion side as I never got one past around level 8 but they seem quite popular, however ;-

See #!$|!! told you it happened with Lotro Guardian, Aion Spiritmaster/Chanter GW2 Ranger and now it seems Esper according to that survey joining the list

I had an invite for one of the weekends but completely forgot about it
Check your ncsoft account page, it might show up in there if you've ever added a key to the account.
