*** Xperia Z2 Official Thread ***

I'm not sure I agree. I haven't noticed it on two shop models and I went looking for it. I am still wondering whether a lot of the dodgy batches made it into circulation.

Possibly. It does make you wonder why the launch was so stunted and odd. Maybe Sony thought they just might get away with it and hoped most don't notice.

I can only go by the three i have seen in the flesh.

Loving mine. Fantastic battery life. Three days now without a charge and quite a lot of usage. The noise cancelling works quite well. I work in a noisy office and it pretty much kills all the background noise for almost peace!
The battery is pretty good. And the noise cancelling takes you into another world.

One thing I noticed with mine is the plastic around the phone has a few dents. Anyone else have dents?

Mine is in perfect nick. No dents, no screen abnormalities. Just a really nice phone. :)

I'm enjoying the background blur and AR features of the camera. Got some great shots of the cats.

Howie, would you mind checking if you can see the digitizer at all under any light? And even with the phone turned off?

Ordered a Nillkin toughened glass screen protector and a case-mate barely there case.
Doesn't look like the case covers the magnetic port but not too bothered. Guess I'll soon find out tomorrow.

Is there a chance that the digitizer grid and dots show because i haven't put the screen protector on yet and it's meant to be on? Thought maybe the surface of the protector might stop the light reflecting so much and reduce the visibility of it.

Or maybe i'm just waffling and need to try a replacement :P

If the digitizer is person dependant I'm sure I will see it. Here's hoping it's a fault.

By applying the Sony provided screen protector it actually made the digitizer grid look worse and also muted the vivid quality of the screen for me as it is a matte screen protector.

The best thing I did was to throw the Sony one and apply a non-matte one.

It seems that this is how the screen is generally on most models from reading elsewhere and is something that you have to accept or change the choice of phone.

For me it's no big deal and I love the quality of the screen and the phone as a whole.

Oooh, I would definitely send that back. That looks just like a refurbed phone.

I've had a nightmare trying to get one of these phones. I cancelled my original order with Amazon because they were taking too long, and three were offering it £80 cheaper.

Then tried to order one on Three's website, turns out that you're not allowed (website bug), and none of my local stores have them in black. Looks like I may have to wait a little longer.

I have had my handset for a week now and although initially for the first few days I wasn't particularly impressed with its indoor 'superior auto' photography. I have since been tinkering with the manual mode indoors and got pretty decent results.

It is such a gorgeous slippery bugger I am afraid I am going to drop it. Something I only ever did twice with my naked S3.

What accessories have people purchased other than a memory card?. Has anyone purchased a case or used a tempered glass screen protector?

Ive got so far:

Sony Charging dock.
Tempered glass screen protector.
Sony case which I dont use anymore.
Casemate clear case.
Magnetic charging adaptor.

The sony case just folds over with nothing to hold it like it does on the tablet version. The tablet version is much better.

That's a return Galaxy :( People are horrible.

I have the cheapest ebay special to convert a USB cable into a mag connector, a Nillkin case and a bunch of memory cards from previous phones from 512mb to 64gb (I am pretty jelly of those of you with the 128 cards though). The nillkin is to make it easier to hold without covering anything and it does the job for a fiver with ease.
