My GF is an immigrant, I'm very much not a racist.
I don't really agree with UKIPS immigration policy, I just really hate the un-needed governance that the EU enforces, the way the attack their detractors, and the way the are slowly forcing a superstate.
Plus, UKIP are the only party to espouse libertarian economic principles

They also want to cut maternity/paternity, annual leave and minimum wage rights, so yah good luck with ukip and actually having a life outside of slavery. Their candidates time and time again have proved they have racist undertones

Probably conservative. All things considered I think the current coalition government has done an alright job with the economy. Main reason I would consider voting lib dem (as I would normally be inclined) is for Vince Cable. I think he's good.

I really don't get why a tech forum gets so many extreme right nutters

Why are the nutters? Is it because they think differently to you? Do you feel threatened?

Yeah, but also dumber.

"Children with low intelligence grow up to be prejudiced
Right-wing views make the less intelligent feel 'safe'"

(Also, do you even lift bro?) /armflex

LOL using a DM article thought it was beneath you?
I was using your spiritual bible to contradict you to give another 'view', it wasn't really serious anyway.

I thought this was a joke thread, nobody is really going to vote for UKIP are they?

(to reply to the actual comment.

"The study, by academics at Brock University in Ontario, Canada, used information from two UK studies from 1958 and 1970 , where several thousand children were assessed for intelligence at age 10 and 11, and then asked political questions aged 33.

The 1958 National Child Development involved 4,267 men and 4,537 women born in 1958."

We utilise single transferable votes over here so for me it'll be 1: Alliance (not to be confused with condems) 2: Sinn Fein 3: NI21 in that preference

I don't read the DM?

65 racists and counting, wow :(

Seeing that i'm a son of immigrants, Latino, have a Bangladeshi ex-wife and engaged to a Chinese immigrant. Calling me a racist just made me laugh in your face. Crawl back into your box and take you fascist views with you

Seeing as my wife is an immigrant and my kids are mixed race I feel you are way off the mark and uninformed.

Tbf, those reasons alone don't inherently discount you from being a possible racist.

Note, I'm not saying what he said was right either.

True I guess but I know I'm not racist. My father was racist and when I met my wife it caused such a division between us that I didn't talk to him for about 5 years and I told him of my wedding by postcard. I'm really not bothered if strangers in my life don't believe me. It's of no consequence. But I know my views and I know why I am considering UKIP. People who automatically assume a UKIP voter must be racist are making gross assumptions and are plain wrong in many cases. I do appreciate that there will be a minority of people who are racist and are attracted to that party however, as there are a wide range of nutters and extremists who vote for any party including the left.

The people who make assumptions about those voting for UKIP are no better than the actual racists.

I just hope UKIP voters truly understand the possible implications that might follow if the the UK does leave the EU.
