Do you genuinely want the best HiFi?

What is the best bang for buck setup? I mean when it comes to headphones you can buy something like Fidelio x1's for £140 or k550 for £100 or q701 for £200, etc. Maybe not as good as £300+ headphones but your not missing much and spending a fraction of the cost of stuff like hd800's and other high end gear.

If you had say £500-£2000 to spend what would be the best bang for your buck setup.

I don't want the best in terms of sound quality just the best in terms of value for money and better than the crap everyone usually buys from places like Argos, etc.

In the price range ......

Arcam ir-dac £400
graham Slee srg11 headphone amp £400 (basic )
Senneiser hd700 £600

I spent £9.99 on some USB speakers. They are Logitech so tbh I don't think anyone will better that.

For 5.1 I have a set of Tannoy SFX hooked up to my Sony receiver. I know they are not the best but they cost me £100 a few years ago, so can't really grumble.

Serious post. I'd take all that stuff objectively. You claimed it's the best, it's the same claim as every manufacturer in the world claims theirs is the best. What makes yours more valid than their's really?

For every graph you show, each one of them has their own research to back up their claim. I really can't see how any more valid your claims are than every other brand out there in the world for every speakers ever made, ever.

Also, the harder it is you trying to push it (this is not the first time on here, it's like the third), the more suspicious I become and the less likely I would want to listen to it. It actually become something I want to avoid, ignore and dismiss altogether.

Have you had a read through the forum? I think it's the genuine happy customers selling very expensive systems and scratching their head to why they ever spent that much.

Raymond I think you have a weird thought process! You have complete control over yourself I assume, I don't think I could get you to have a look at their website and make you accidentally buy them!

I can't properly answer your questions because you don't want to believe (I don't blame you). If you want, have a read, learn something...

The reason I post about them is because I look at peoples threads showing off their latest HiFi purchases and I cringe, I don't have the heart to tell them they just wasted thousands of pounds.

this isnt the first time ive seen this guy post something about AVI and also make wild claims about hifi, for someone with no affiliation to them its quite odd. As mentioned this is a very subjective subject, I have spent thousands on my hifi and I couldnt care less what you think, it sounds good to me and that, in the end, is all that matters.

it does look extremely advert like

im happy with what i have too and dont see need for more. they look the part, sound good to me with a tad of brightness

I have the EXACT same feeling about the stuff you are trying to promote !

I have a mate with a pair of martin logans he loves them and they were worth every penny to him as he loves the sound, me i spent 5 hours sat in richer sounds listening to various combinations until settling on a yammy and some missions, there is so much more to sound than a tech sheet :)

I guess it is a bit odd. Like I say I have first hand seen the rip off products and it really annoys me. It's the reason I'm not pursuing my career in audio because it's far too corrupt, even though audio is my passion.

Why would you not care what I have to say? It sounds like my opinion offends you perhaps for the reason I feel unable to post directly telling people they paid too much :(

Bold claims.

By best objective quality, I would have to assume that you would mean an entire setup reproducing a sound as close to the original as possible.

Picking on their subwoofer product, are you really telling me that is the case? Something tells me it ain't going to stack up against something like a Ken kriesel..

That's a shame. But I think it's because you don't understand.

I understand perfectly.

The whole audio industry is corrupt and a fraud.

Your mate makes REAL audio equipment and the BEST ever.

It's true because you say so, he say so and a bunch of people who I have never met on a forum I never frequent say so.

Yes, that makes me want to go out and replace all my gear tomorrow.

I understand perfectly.

He charges £1k for a sub. I paid £450 for mine (10" driver also) from BK.
He charges £1250 for speakers !

If he can do them for £200 I may give it a go, but seriously?! £1k for a sub. That kind of money, if it isn't a competition with the best subs on the market I would consider him a fraud for making those claims.

Oh Raymond, you and your little mind!

Oh Raymond, you and your little mind!

My mind is fine, I simply don't buy into every little thing a stranger sprout online like gospel...I am even more skeptical when claims like "best HiFi" gets thrown around like confetti. Alarm bells goes off left right and centre.

just lol at this whole thread, how hasn't it been deleted by a mod?

It's up to the buyer to decide what they want to spend and as long as it's within their means and they are happy then who cares what random internet opinion is, regardless of £500 or £50,000.

Who are you to say you are annoyed at these people being ripped off? But hey, my buddy here wouldn't do that to you, he wants to change the world.... oh please. This side pitch has been done a million times across every industry imaginable - if it was a real game changer then it would already be featured EVERYWHERE.

Don't worry I was just winding you up! Yeehhh I don't really like 'best HiFi' either.

This forum is really funny - not in the laughing sense unfortunately. You try to offer some advice, just encourage to read even if they still don't think AVi is any good I just want to help people!

And I'm now a subject of suspicion! Now that's weird!

The general advice to anyone buying HiFi is buy whichever sounds best to your ears.

Not because some guy says so on a forum.
