Good brand of 780TI

Gigabyte for me personally, ive used evga's support before and frankly it doesnt do what it says on the tin.

Tbh the quality of the GTX 780Ti's is good across the board. Any card you choose from regardless of vendor will be decent. I would just go for the one with the best price.

I like Gigabyte boards myself. I was going to look at Asus this time, Gigabyte and EVGA are doing some sweet 16x16 boards.

I like Gigabyte motherboards but after my 670 WindForce 3X cards I'm not that keen on their graphics cards.
Oddly I'm not really a fan of EVGA's motherboards...

I hear Gigabyte have good RMA too and I believe UK based, which si a plus.

Have owned
7970 lightning
780 lightning
2x 7970 matrix plat

One of the matix was ok and the 780 lightning core was ok, none were great!! Built very well and would handle anything but ref cards were beating them and they shouldn't, all these cards are £100+ over reference, no point building them like a tank if the core/mems are poop!!! And both msi/asus have been crippled by poor software.

All the above cards are probably great with extreme cooling and the unlocked software but for 99%+ of users they need to improve and correctly bin there chips.

There is something else to this too. Lightning and Matrix cards plus the toxic and classified versions (if GB are still making SOC) are the only cards LN2 enthusiasts can buy so they are more or less optimised for sub zero temperatures. From what I've read those poor chips that are with low ASIC and require a lot of voltage on air/water are great for LN2 overclocking. So they may be binning the chips specifically to be good LN2 overclockers with the air/water "enthusiasts" left with their other models, which let's be honest, are more than adequate enough. I can say from experience that I felt really bad when my Matrix was below average Tahiti XT chip and felt really nice when my <£200 VTX3D is more capable core wise...

^Yep I've had two Lightning cards, a Classified and a DCUII and they were all no good at overclocking.
My cheapo reference 7970 clocked to 1200/1800 on stock volts v__v

Whilst I agree with this sub zero enthusiast's are probably less than 1%(don't know the figures) of the market so in my eyes like evga did with the KPE, that kind of card is aimed at the LN2 folk, I want to be able to buy a better card and I will gladly pay a premium for it and the classified's fulfil my needs perfectly.
The lighting and matrix are favouring LN2 users for sure but in the past they have fallen short for users such as myself and many others, for the price they demand they should be binned for water and LN2, so in my eyes should be labeled, matrix plat(h2o) and matrix plat(LN2) and the same for the lightning. This keeps everyone happy and continued purchases would be made.

your welcome

now try and get the prices down i need a second 780ti sc for sli ;);)

:) well, I wish I could do this for you :)
But if you want to save a buck keep in mind that our 3 year standard warranty do also apply for second hand user and even third hand.... As we are also working on 6GB versions you should keep an eye on the second hand market when they release....
