*** Official Nintendo Wii U thread ***

Smash Bros. will be good, Bayonetta 2, X ... not sure how long we'll wait for these, but there's good stuff on the way. I suspect there will be some droughts, there usually is with Nintendo consoles. The sheer quality of what they do release makes up for this though :) My hopes are resting on a new Metroid Prime - it would be glorious!

That is very true, although few and far between. Nintendo games are awesome in quality and gameplay. Tbh with Mario Kart 8 and Zelda on Wii U, that would be enough for me for next couple years :p To many other games to play on other consoles / PC as it is, I would like to see Nintendo to sell more Wii U's though, I can't see how they will do that without more games.. Seems a shame because it really is a decent console. Cheap now as well..

After Mario Kart 8 and Zelda Shard of Nightmare, are there any big games planned? Seems Wii U might be about to enter a drought..

Really like our Wii U, but it is gathering dust atm..

Hoping for one or two more good games after those mentioned above, then put the Wii U out to pasture and it could go down in history as an extension of the original Wii. While Nintendo move onto a powerhouse console with better spec than competition to bring back the core audience that they have lost..

TGS ;)

One thing to keep mind is that Nintendo tend to announce games closer to release than other publishers, so it's likely there are a couple of big games due out in the next year that we don't know about yet... maybe!.
Remember, Mario Kart 8 was revealed less than a year ago at E3 2013.

For anyone looking for ideas/info here's a list of what I have, and what I plan to get in the future:

Maybe future purchases:

Between Wii U and PC I'm kept quite content, I don't know how some people find the time or run out of things to play!.

Nintendo won't launch Wii U successor until it has "satisfied" current owners

Nintendo has poured cold water on the suggestion it will rush out a successor to its struggling Wii U, instead suggesting that it will wait to "satisfy" those who have adopted the console first.

But work on the Wii U's successor has started - as it does every generation when the previous console is released. And, speaking in an investor Q&A, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata has hinted that the company already has a clear idea what it will be like.

"Once we launch a new platform, we naturally start to prepare for the next one. As it takes several years to develop a single platform, if you ask us whether we are preparing for our next system, then the correct response will be that we are always developing new hardware," Iwata explained.

I can get a Wii U with Nintendoland for 160 pounds and Donkey Tropical Dong for 26 pounds this week because of extra staff discount.. very tempted!

Wii U at HMV with LCU o Zelda for £149.....

source

I would be seriously tempted as a machine for the kids to enjoy at this price, if only there was an HMV near.

If you read the comments, John Lewis will price match. Zelda bundle has gone out of stock but they have still the Lego Wii U premium bundle and will price match @ 149.99

Lol, I would possibly play Mario for while, but the missus has been giving me gried about not getting one ever since I got my Xbox One/PS4.

This could keep her/them quiet for a while. :D

I've submitted a price match to JL, see what they say.

So excited, in 16 days time my Wii U will be getting daily use for at least the rest of the year. Lol

Bring on Mario Kart 8!!! :D

Hyped for Mario Kart I just preordered This MarioKart WiiU bundle from Tescos direct using the code "TDX-LVY3" for an extra £20 off making it £209.

It comes with MarioKart plus one free game of your choosing from a selection including Zelda, Mario Pikmin etc.

Good deal imo!

Seems like the best alternative to going the pricematch route that I can't really bothered to do lol...
