I'm just going to build myself a new PC last build about win98

Im getting a Samsung 250gb evo ssd just for so

Would I be able to install windows 7 & 8 on it for dual booting

Will there be enough space on it for both

And can somebody point me in the direction of how to do it

Please

Thanks Colin

Yes you can dual boot W7/8 (whats the reason behind this?)

Samsung 250GB will have plenty of space. You should still have at least 150GB free after installing both OS's + updates

I would install W7 and then follow a guide similar to this

I like to set my dual\multi boots by setting up each OS on seperate drives.

Install each OS then set your prefered OS as first boot then to boot into a different OS I press F8 (Asus) and manually select that drive.

Then once the PC is turned off and on my default OS boots up automaticly.

I have tested this on Win 7, Win 8 , MAC OS X and Linux, works like a charm.

Admitadly my Obsidian 800 D with it's four hot swap drives on the front of the case helps out.

Where's the best place to find the best hacks for windows 8 to make it more like win7

I'm getting on a bit to learn something so different

Thanks Colin

I can't say, I just leave it as is.

One thing I do is unpin ever app from the Start Menu and pin my own installed software.

Just actually messing about removing the default apps from the install.wim and testing a new install to see what happens. My first test worked really well.

i wouldn't buy anything just yet. grab the trial of windows 8.1 and install that. see if you can live with it for 3 months. if you really hate it then buy windows 7 otherwise buy 8.1.
