lthat and saw a Jack frags vid last night of an interesting bug where if there's a dead body next to a door way... there's an invisible box when bugs out grenades you try to throw through.....ends up coming back towards you even though it looks lik it's gone through.... but interestingly enough, if the corpse was previously revived (so now perma dead, no res chance) it doesn't provide this barrier :p

The 'death shield' - thats been fixed afaik in the latest server version. :)

in cte you mean? or just normal bf client?

just wish they'd fix the whatever it is that causes my rockets to vanish when I've been killed.... soooo annoying when something is soooo close to being dead, fire smaw/rpg... it's away and flying, I die.... kill screen/falling to floor.... rocket is no where to be seen :mad: guessing the tick/update rate. on my screen i've fired it but according to the server I'm already dead or some bull ****.
 
That's a poor attitude. You are simply putting up with the stupid decisions of DICE

it is just reality they wont prioritize it so best to except it or not play.

i have writ letters, emails, explaining lots of fixes which would improve bf. simple things some have been sorted but a lot haven't.

its never going to be a comp game so best to just play it have fun or what fun you can until next edition is out.

normal too. That video is quite old.

I know what ya mean DG, I try to enjoy it now... I say to myself "just don't worry about deaths and play for the lols" but when you get a few bs deaths in a row that goes out the window and tryhard/ragehard mode activates xD


might just get some hacks :p:o:rolleyes:
 
True but what's to say we don't see a Bad Company 3 reveal at E3. Problem is that there is no distinction between the two games now following the direction BF3 and BF4 took.

The only difference is the minimum amount of things you can choose for each class, there isn't a plethora of things to unlock.

Its due to the way the rollback works - try playing 24x7 locker on a 64 player CQ server heh its mental for nades and rockets just vanishing unless you fired them atleast 2 seconds before you died.

Problem is the amount of rollback going on in conjunction with people with high latency and connection problems means that the server sees you as having died way before you fired the weapon and waaay before you realised or even could possibly have been dead you were dead -actually you weren't dead its just mashing events in together in some kind of best fit.

One of the best examples I've seen is near the A flag on the little door on the right leading down to the machine room - say there is 5 people down there and you pop through the door fire a grenade and run back out then die - you actually "died" about 300ms before you passed through the doorway into view, your nade never gets fired and your body dropping just inside the A flag side of the door isn't due to where you were when you died but the position you were in just before popping through the door where the rollback thingy mistakenly calculated you died.

EDIT: Above scenario assumes a moderately busy server and a mix of latency conditions on the people involved in the scenario. Basically whoever did the bulk of the programming on this was a big WoW player IMO and never played FPS games online :S
