First Post please don't laugh

And in terms of case - It doesn't have to be white

Colour isn't important - but Ideally I'd like a good number of fron usb ports / and it to be easy to work with for future upgradabilty - and a side window for some lights (just cause)

Whats the sound like on that air cooler?

I don't want a really loud noisey machine like I have currently - hence my thought of one of the low end corsair 'starter' water cooled jobbies?

Again choose the right air cooler and it will be quieter than an AIO ;)

Noctua deliver supreme air cooled performance and are extremely quiet and well built, only drawback is marmite looks.

Phanteks PH-TC14PE would be another good cooling option

This is my sandy bridge rig, this is the noise of the pump idling...

.

Loud whining noise in a near silent PC.

Ok that looks pretty good to me - I was looking at the OCUK bundles cause they seem to offer good value but it looks like buying individual parts works just as well

I hate to be a dufus here but in term sof the ssd size - do I need 250gb, or will a 120gb suffice?

Sorry been along time since I looked at this stuff - My last PC game before WOT was Red Alert so its been a while rofl

Your budget allows for 250GB so it's what I would go for, less worries that way so you don't end up regretting not going bigger ;)

Ok makes sense.

Thank you all for your advice - I'll check my money side of things and then start making in roads to this and start aquiring a pile of bits - not to mention arranging time off to biuld it and get it sorted

Another question (sorry) Are the 'pre' water cooled cases worth looking at or is that a whole heap of complicated I should leave well alone for now

Not yet that feels a step to far seen as I am a total newbie with all this - pluging bits in fine, plumbing well - I'll call a plumber for that

Quick Q on this again

I really, really like this case - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-050-AE&groupid=2362&catid=2226

Has anyone got any experiance or seen any reviews for it

I think I may switch the 300/c70 for this in either green and black or Ornage and black and try to colour code the build some how

I do like the look of a lime(ish) green and black build but it does limit me in terms of parts I think - we as the ornage and black (as linked) is a little eaiser?

Cheers for any comments

Ok Guys been doing my numbers and decided that I'll be able to push a £1000 budget for this.

Things I need over the pc parts themselves
OS
Keyboard

Things I'd ideally like in this build
16Gb Ram
Able to run twin screens
AIO liquid cooler + quiet fans

Things I don't need yet
Graphics card (My GTX660 is ok for a while)
Mouse

Decided to push the budget a bit more as I'm going to also re work my room and put a new desk in so that I have a proper work space for it
Screens

AH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-...
Oh wait, you said *don't* laugh?
My apologies... welcome to the forum! :)

I have a H100 that performs worse than a Noctua for double the cost, don't always think higher cost=better all the time.
I have an H100 that performs *better*.... However, that's probably because I put Noctua fans on it! ;)
