*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

MLB works out at £37.67 delivered when you include cash back, not bad at all, plus I can sell it on if it doesn't work out.

I dunno but I just cannot see a baseball game being any fun at all.

Same with games I enjoy playing in real life like golf, pool, darts, poker, etc. It's just not the same on a game.

Did you ever try The Bigs? It was a great way to make baseball fun - but Im kinda the same, ive tried the previous ones in the series, batting is always a lot more fun but due to the nature of the game I always find these things difficult to know whats gonna be a ball, hit and pitching is always pretty dull.

Pool and golf games are great fun. NHL is also a lot of fun. I find sorts games more fun then watching the real sport IMO.

FIFA , NHL, PGA, pool and snooker games, loads of fun..

I used to love NHL games but grew out of it. Same with NFL, iirc NFL blitz was just amazing and mental.

The only sports I like playing on a console is football and MMA/Boxing.

I prefer to play others like tennis, etc on a wii in fact boxing on the wii is amazing too. Baseball is also not bad on the wii but prefer bowling, etc. But they are all mainly fitness based stuff or aimed at kids, etc rather than realism.

I just don't think I would find them exciting enough unless they released a blitz version of these games. I watched live professional rugby matches for the first time in my life a few weekends ago and really enjoyed the days out, but that's because it was sevens, had it been normal rugby I doubt I would have enjoyed it as much. I also met Akira Ioane after the all blacks won in the final.

Playing the game in real life > Watching the game in real life > Playing the game on a console > Watching the game on tv (unless it's a final or important game)

Thats the way I rank the experience.

I was never a big sports fan last generation. With the lack of games at the start of this generation I thought I would give the sports genre a try.

So far I've got FIFA14, NBA 2K14, MLB14 The Show, Pure Chess (is that a sport?) and I plan on getting NHL 14 in the fall.

Have to say I'm really enjoying them all.

I was thinking about that chess game but then i thought to myself, you can already play chess for free on PC/Tablet/Smartphone, am I really going to play it on a PS4 on a 50" TV when I have games like Tomb Raider, War Thunder, BF4 available?

What I do hope they release is risk, I loved risk factions on the PS3, and possibly a fun poker game.

could you post it now?

i know it's not working and I got the game for 85p the last time they made a mistake. i assume they made the same mistake again where you downloaded something else and it gave you the game for free?

last time i bought some DLC for 85p and instead it somehow purchased and unlocked the game but not the DLC, so i would need to re-buy the DLC again for 85p.

this time i'm thinking it was some free DLC which instead of unlocking the DLC unlocked the game for free.

am i right?

No what happened was on the sony store it said Killzone £52.99 and then below said Choose Version when you clicked that there were an option that just said "Free" obviously added it to basket and purchased for free and i sent it to download. Worked a charm didnt expect it to either a lot of people couldnt find the "choose version" option seems it was only on the mobile site.

Oddly, I tend to find sports games and watching sports to always be separate.

For instance, I can have fun playing a Football game...but I can not stand to watch the sport in any way, ever.
Ice Hockey is an obsession for me when it comes to following/watching it. I spend more time watching that than all other games/movies/tv combined.
Yet, I don't own an NHL game. I did in the past but never often.

I do not like watching golf either, but I do enjoy playing a golf game!

So it seems if I don't like watching it, I may very like playing a game version of it.

I Snowboard too but have never enjoyed playing a snowboarding game.

Either way - the common thing is that playing sports games is only fun against someone I know. I would never play single player on them.

I hate watching baseball...so maybe I should try this game then! Might very well like it.

Fifa is crap this year, I would have picked another game tbh.

It's a reasonably priced deal without the vouchers.

You will need a psn plus sub for online play so look into that.

Fifa came as part of the bundle, plus its the only game i know i will be played when my friends/family come round - so thought why not.

BF4 + a mic. Then download the PSN app for your phone/tablet. Then add me and everyone else from the psn id thread. It's the only way to play.

Already have the PS3 mic - can this be used? Im not the biggest fan of BF tbh - have had on PC and PS3 - never gets played - i dont get much time. Im already in the PSN thread from before :p - used to play killzone and COD with guys from here

Get PS+

Resogun
Tomb Raider DE edition
Trials Fusion
Zen Pinball 2 + tables of your liking, they have demos for all the tables

TLOU isn't out till summer this year, Watch Dogs just around the corner, so keep an eye out for that one. Ignore the 900p talk, wait till reviews etc drop.

The lego games are also fun.

Already have PS+ - i just realised that my bundle includes 3 months PS+ and spiderman BD too - so a little more value for money :)

Already have the PS3 mic what does that mean?

the ps3 doesn't come with a mic but the PS4 comes with an earpiece which plugs into the controller (no need to buy one unless you want something better).
