But you're assuming that stopping immigration will make things better instantly for people in your position (I'm assuming you're in one of those jobs where you feel that wages are being kept low by immigration). UKIP aren't interested in your rights as a worker, but they're playing a masterstroke by beating the immigration drum hard enough that people make huge leaps and decide that they are standing up for the working man.

tell that to the skilled and semi skilled people where immigrants are willing to do the same job for less money

it's market forces people will do the job for a fair wage but that's all gone out the window

But it's legal so what's the problem ? You do understand that we have an immigration policy right ? And that this policy allows for such things right ? People are not banned from coming here and trying to start a new life you know and they should be helped to do that if they fit the legal requirements, which most do.

Their whole point is that it shouldn't be legal, most reasonable people think the system is at fault not the people who use it.

Is it? I do my job for a "fair" wage, and don't get undercut.

Well, in that context, I will concede that the system is not perfect. It needs reform to stop those wanting to abuse it. I do believe though that immigration is the flip side of emigration. Some Brits, (Like me, I've emigrated 3 times in my life but always came back to the UK) want to emigrate, and why not ? It's your right to do so if you wish. Likewise people from other nations want to emigrate here, again why not ? We just need to have more reform of the policy, I don't deny that.

You can create any surveys and stats to suit your argument doesn't make it fact.
Does it take in to account everything they take out ? I very very much doubt it.

If it's so easy to do that, let's see you do it, go find an analysis that has a serious source and concludes immigrants cost the country money. We both know you can't do it, don't we? And we both know why you can't do it.

What do you mean 'everything they take out'? Money sent back to their relatives? So you admit this isn't about benefits, it's about what these people do with their hard earned money. How nice of you.

My new neighbors are portuguese the husband does a part time job wife doesn't work they have 1 child how are they affording the £1500 month rent ? I'll tell you how the british tax payer is paying it.The reverse isn't happening for us I cant go to portugal and get the same deal that's the point.

I think you've mistaken my liberal stance on people believing in God as my personal beliefs, which is wrong. I don't believe in God, I don't disbelieve in God.

What I don't like is people like yourself espousing your insulting bigoted point of view that people who do believe in a God are stupid, weak minded, and foolish.

Well give me gods number, I have long distance calls. And calling me names doesn't affect me ;)

Have you spoken to them and asked them about it or are you just assuming?

take out in the sense of services housing benefit child allowance they probably count someone doing a part time job earning £100 a week as a net contributer and they are claiming £1500 a month housing benefit it's laughable

Was the child born in the UK?

Edit:

Yes, the link I provided considers everything.

Great job? You mean the austerity measures that started in 2010 and brought two years of stagnation in the UK and almost every other EU country which implemented them and turned the crisis into a double-dip recession, while the US mantained a weak but steady ~2.5% growth thanks to Obama's stimulus package?

It doesn't sound like the conservatives did a great job to me.

I not know if you know this but Office for National Statistics (ONS) said growth was flat in the first quarter of 2012, revised from an earlier estimate of a 0.1% contraction. There was no double dip recession.

Labour of course would have continued on the course they were on and we'd be worse then Greece by now

Given that he was sooooooo sure that I claimed benefits, I'm going with the latter.

you didn't answer the question ? how did you afford your rent doing a part time blockbuster job ? you were living in a tent right I am mistaken
I am not anti immigration or anti europe but it has to be a level playing field

how can you not see the point of view of people that think I am paying so someone can come and have a decent lifestyle on the back of a low paid menial job ?
whats the point lets all just have kids and claim for everything and just do low paid part time work and get all our rent paid
