GTX 780Ti crashing under 3D load

ok great! I will check them out. Thanks :)

Just one more thing,, its nothing to do with the fact that my card is a PCI express 3 card running on PCI express 2 motherboard??

Nope.

Some Z68's Models got bios updates to PCI 3.0 but only if you fitted a IvyBridge CPU would you get that speed.

As others have said get a better PSU 16Gb Ram also puts more load on your system along with the overclocked CPU your probably a little over the safe power requirements as GTX 780 Ti also auto overclocks itself under load. With just 8GB Ram & all of your Ram & CPU settings on std clockspeeds see how stable it is then.

GTX480 is a little less power hungry than a GTX 780 Ti & does not auto overclock which is why it was stable before.

Look to spend around £130-150 minimum for your rig also look at RMA conditions before buying incase it ever needs to go back. OCUK handle Corsair RMAs but some of the other brands need shipping to Europe @ your cost so look closely @ OCUK mainpage or ask one of their staff to recommend a UK based RMA model.

Thank you for that usefull information. I have just installed the GPU tweak utility that came with the card, and its running at 1020mhz clock? i've clocked it down by 50mhz and so far, one peticular game of mine has not crashed???

Different games put different loads on your GPU. If you can run Crysis 3 maxxed out @ 1920x1080 or higher without crashing for a few hours its probably ok.

Forget about overclocking the FPS difference is not worth the hassle unless you have a high end PSU!
