Very tempted by the MSI GTX 780 Lightening. Had my heart set on the Asus GTX 780 Direct CUII OC though and was planning on buying that next week. It's £20 more though. Hmm, what to do. :)

On a side note, did someone detonate a troll grenade in here ? I've never seen so many deleted posts in such a small thread. :D
 
Had my MSI 780 lightning since the 24th December when I ordered it from here. Great card and would thoroughly recommend. I am mildly tempted by a second one, but there's no need. Even better price in this deal.

The cooler is pretty quiet although you can hear it when under load and I suspect the the Gamer Edition of the 780 might just be ever so slightly quieter. Just a hunch based on the reviews I've read.
 
Got to say you cant knock some of the deals going around in the gfx card arena at the moment, some sense of sanity and balance is restored.

Thats why I went with a second Gaming ed 780. Even under full load 2 of them are super quiet. The quietest cards I have ever owned and at 359 quid a hell of a bargain. Both of them hit 1200 on the core with ease as well and are an all round solid purchase. If you are thinking about it....dont! Just buy them already :p
 
Really tempted by a pair of the 780 gaming editions. I think i really need some blower style cards though as my PCI-E slots are pretty crowded with a wifi card + sound card in addition to the GPUs.

My two are close together and being so quiet they never go above 80 and the fans ramping up isn't noticable
