The Corsair 900D was too small

Just took it out of the box, the quality is fantastic as far as I can tell. Nice and sturdy so shouldn't suffer any rattles/vibrations that a lot of aluminium cases seem to suffer, the powder coating is good quality. Only issue I have is the doesn't seem to be any instructions for setting it up for watercooling. I've not been able to get into the top yet and the bottom mount is just bits so far so hopefully there's a more detailed manual on the website.

Isn't bong cooling a brilliant way to grow mould on your walls and give yourself legionnaires, since you're essentially installing a humidifier?

Unscrew the sides on the bottom panels and reverse the fan filters from the default position they were taped in. Get rid of the cages in the bottom and you will see the two pieces of radiator mounts for the left side. If you are installing a 420/480 rad in the bottom you would need to remove the front bottom fan and its mount. PM me if you have any questions.

Nah, take a look at the thread I linked above. I have seen builds with minimal insulation have no issues with over an year gone already.

Yeah, I've found I need to take the very bottom left side fan mount out to fit a radiator in the left side bottom. Managed to stick my head inside to find the catch that unclips the top as well, so all good.

i suppose, although for increased pro-ness you could vent it outside?

although tbh this begs the question of just installing a car radiator outside your house in the shade and piping the water in, or just going full hog and getting phase change cooling.

I would love to go with a phase change cooler but there will always be compatibility concerns and also the units tend to be extremely loud. The way I will have this configured, I can likely run most fans off and still be just fine for everything other than benching.

Here the ambient outside even in the shade is usually a lot more than the AC regulated temps inside. So that car radiator idea, while neat, isn't valid as much.
