@rolypolyman:
? ?

I could find plenty of stores stocking them, mostly German ones, few from Austria. And indeed, even the German stores have a higher price by around £50 or more. Though I did find three UK stores selling them for only £80 more expensive, £330.
(the rest of the UK stores start around £350)

In any case, it would indeed seem to be a very good deal for those eyeing a 21:9 monitor.

If you haven't tried 21:9 gaming yet and you don't want to splash out on one of its bigger brothers - get this. Amazing price!

I love my Dell 21:9 at 2560 x 1080, which actually uses an LG panel. They tend to overclock well too these panels. Mine reaches 75hz without frameskipping, and I'm pretty sure the LG's at 2560 x 1080 overclock too.

Incredible deal there! I think Gibbo has lost the plot. Grab it before he sees sense ;). I too am a big fan of 21:9 monitors and think it's something that every gamer has to try for themselves.

does this monitor come with cords? What kind?

I am in the US and it's showing at the checkout price without VAT plus shipping but my card company is saying the website is charging full price???

I bought my GPU from here and VAT was excluded like it should be

Do many games have problems with this aspect ratio?

Many games will work fine, there are a few that don't however but you can still just use it like a 1920x1080 panel aslong as the black borders don't bother you.

There are 1-2 games though where the resolution isn't supported intentionally (mostly RTS games) and I've found the odd game where for some reason the shadow map projection uses the wrong coordinates with that aspect ratio.

Damn you Gibbo, you're making me want to spend money. I've been wanting a new monitor for ages but never really found a good excuse.

Do these have a matte or glossy finish...?

Up to my DGM 27" getting stolen I kinda liked the glossy image of the deep blacks and saturated types of colours etc over that of my Dell 24" matte monitor.

Seems a great price.

Stolen? How does a monitor get stolen?

We have a kitchen extension (it had a flat roof at the time, which has now been changed). They broke through the roof and dropped through the ceiling and then opened three windows downstairs to pass stuff out.

The 27" monitor, my cameras and portable back up hard drives etc etc were all take. All the cupboards and drawers etc had been gone through. We had just come back from Egypt the day before and so the cameras were out to back up the photos etc.

We were in bed at the time.
