Dash Cams

The video shows both vehicles travelling at 50mph on a dual carriageway when the car in front suddenly slams its brake on

The video doesn't appear to show that? The car slows in a manner controlled enough to allow a following goods vehicle to stop short.

When the accident was reported the driver of the blue Peugeot reported the driver as being at fault for the accident but using the video footage the system was able to exonerate the driver.

Which makes sense - the driver with the camera didn't hit the Peugeot. What it doesn't say is who WAS at fault - was it not the person who hit the truck?

As I've said previously, this is a weird one that doesnt shout 'CASH FOR CRASH' to me. Could be wrong but...

oops: was already answered.

ay too many people just lying through their arses to get out of fault. MUGS!

For the price of a half decent camera it's worth it in my eyes. I picked up a couple of Mini 0801's and have them hardwired into the cars ignition. THey just turn on, start recording and then overwrite the oldest recordings first once the microSD card is full.

Good for trackdays too :)

Same here. They are excellent cameras and a bargain compared to the Roadhawk I used to have

those look to be they, and google/youtubes is your friend sir ;) probably get bombarded by reviews in the search results :p

I want one because of the accident I had last May. Still not settled because the third party insurance "haven't been able to interview their driver". Video footage ought to make it pretty clear...

Do you guys leave your car on the road at night with these things in? Think I'd worry someone would just smash & grab as they passed :(

Ours (Akenori HD Pro and Blackvue) stay in out cars wherever they are. Had no problems at all as they are both bonded to the screen. If they were on suckers I would expect them to vanish though.
