The cash point crime statistic thing makes total sense to me... I guess its a few groups in one organised gang committing a basic but pretty technical fraud, not 12 immigrant kids mugging you for your Wonga at knife point.

IF 1 group of people skim off 90 customer numbers and pin codes a day that certainly will skew the actual physical 10 robberies around cash points.

So as far as crime statistics go its pretty meaningless?? Am i being thick ? Maybe lol

#HSE is an employers dream because it practically forces all liability on the guy carrying out the task, I worked off shore. I've seen HSE and permit to work systems at levels beyond all retardation.

Again another Swedish comparison, I saw 2 workmen replacing overhead ducting in a supermarket, tools and wire all over the floor, no cordoned off area and i felt a bit scared lol, So its deffo conditioned me into thinking OVERLY safe... No one died or got hurt though so yeah its a peculiar UK/EU thing.

Common sense is amazing but you can be sued assways for it.

I forgot about the money they make when people take these tests. Health and Safety?

Using a comedian to make a point? It's a comedian, poking fun and making comedy. It has no basis in an argument.

H&S is important. Without it we would have people working in conditions that are unsuitable and life threatening. We can poke fun as much as we like at H&S but it's essential in preventing dangers and constantly re-evaluating working conditions. That makes common sense.

Exactly. Would we rather that fatal injury rates hadn't halved over the last twenty years*? Or the non-fatal injury rate falled by over 40%*? It's a bizarre perversion of modern Britain that health and safety has come to be seen as an enemy of the average worker when, in fact, health and safety legislation has seen a dramatic improvement in the safety of working conditions for all

Not much to think about, common sense just comes natural. ;)

Not if you are a UKIP supporter:D

we don't quote newspapers now apparently

Nothing wrong with quoting newspapers, but remember they are a source of opinion not fact.

As we all know the best opinions are supported by independent facts just like the article i linked.

I wish some of the UKIP supporters would start to give some facts to support their opinions.

Indeed, if you are wanting to back up facts then you need to have primary sources that are reliable, newspapers don't do that. If you want to highlight an opinion, then fine, but that's all it is.
