New Fans for my H80i

Hi Guys,

I recently fitted a Corsair H80i to my new setup. (I7 -4770K).
Previously I had been using my old Freezer 13 Pro but this really couldn't cope when gaming.
I have to say that I am delighted with the H80i. Dropped my temps by 20C in Idle and 30C -35C when gaming.
When not gaming though I prefer my PC to be silent. But now that the weather is warming up the fans are idling slightly higher and very noticeable. the noise is a high pitch wine/hum which was a surprise.
Anyways, I know the stock fans are only so good, so now I want to replace them but the choice is massive and I am getting confused with case fans , CPU fans and fans that are great for cooling rads.
I want two new ones that offer damn good cooling but are really quiet, or much quieter than stock fans.

What suggestions do you have for H80i? I'm not worried about cost.

Cheers!

Corsair SP120's seem to have a good reputation for rad use. I have the stock fans on my h70 and they are nice and quiet, but no model identification on them!

I'm running 2 SP120 Performace Editions on my H100i, controlled via one of Tealc's PWM to 3pin converters.

How I have my fan curve setup they rarely (except during boot) go over 1300rpm so they're just as quiet as the Quiet editions but give me the overhead IF they need to be faster.

H70 fans are made by Corsair and have the following specs (take from a Corsair forum)

Max RPM: 2000 ~10%
Max CFM: 61.2
Max S/P: 3.8mm H2O

The speed lines up with what mine do. If those specs are correct, then they actually outperform the SP120's! They are only noisy at higher speeds. I can't tell you if it's just those, as my pair of gentle typhoons ramp up under CPU load as well.

I use Noctua NF-F12s on my H100 - Just about silent except under full load, but actually performed far better, noise-wise, than my SP120s.

Quoted stats:
Max RPM: 1500
Airflow: 54CFM
StatPress: 2.61mm/H20
Max noise: 22.4db

What's wrong with the stock fans? I can only hear air moving not the actual fans.
The H100 stock fans in my Corsair 500R create both vibration noise and a SHEDLOAD of sound from the air movement, as well as humming when they spin up to full chat.
I knew I could take the top mesh off and probably butcher my case to kingdom come to reduce the noice, but TBH that case was pretty expensive for me and new fans were just the better option.

If you don't mind the colour scheme I'd have a look at the Noctua NF-F12's.

They're almost completely silent, PWM controlled so can be controlled by the pump etc...

I have two Noctua NF-F12s attached to my H80i but don't have them connected to the H80i's fan controller. Instead I'm running them through their bundled low-noise adaptors at 1200rpm off of two fan headers on fan my controller.

Can barely hear them.

Specs with LNA

Rotational Speed with L.N.A. (+/- 10%) 1200 RPM
Airflow with L.N.A. 74,3 m³/h
Acoustical Noise with L.N.A. 18,6 dB(A)
Static Pressure with L.N.A. 1,83 mm H2O
