So for balance, using the same tape measure, Cons, Lib and Lab are all racist, and the Greens are just a bunch of criminals, can we agree on that?

how come it's racist to say most romanians coming here are beggars and thieves coming for the easy life.
but it's not to say english people are lazy and immigrants are hard working?

You do realise that Labour, not the Tories, bailed out the banks and joined the coalition to bomb Iraq and Afghanistan?

The that banking crisis occurred during Labour's watch. economy. Nothing to do with greed but Labour's mismanagement of the UK economy. Oh and Tony Blair is your man for bombing. So your so called "meekin yapdoggys" are Labour.

There are some good points made in that though, especially by David Lammy 5:50ish in. UKIP supporters are not a big bunch of racists, but the party does contain racists (as do all..), and they're using the obvious problem of immigration to drive a wedge and appeal to a wider audience.

Oh and I think Diane Abbot is pretty much the worst person in politics.

Of course, the policy is based on tabloid economics rather than solid evidence. The NHS has actually been found to be the most efficient healthcare system on Earth (see Exhibit ES-1).

Two very good reason. Firstly, Romanian is not a race. It's the party that is being deemed racist, not their policy against European workers.

Secondly, does it really count as racism when you criticise your own race?! I guess the line is a bit blurred on that one, but I don't think many people have ever taken issue with you criticising your own race.

I wasn't dodging anything, your question was rhetorical, and if not then it was just silly. I was more interested in the Farage discussion on that clip, that was the whole point of the clip. So "nice dodge" or whatever smart remark you want to add ;)

UKIP in the news again for good behaviour....

Ukip candidate in scuffle with disabled protester.

The man vying to become Ukip’s first MP was accused of scuffling with a disabled protester yesterday as tensions grew over the party’s alleged racism.

Roger Helmer, an MEP who will fight the parliamentary by-election in Newark next month, tried to take a megaphone from David Challinor, a miner who lost the use of one arm in an industrial accident.

Mr Challinor claimed that one of Mr Helmer’s aides “lunged” at him after he approached the MEP outside a café in Retford, Nottinghamshire, with a group of demonstrators. “They were shouting ‘get that megaphone!’ and then this youth jumped up and lunged at me, trying to pull it,” he told the Retford Times. “He was trying to take it from my right arm, which I’ve had five operations on and can’t straighten.”

Mr Helmer denied that he or his staff had assaulted Mr Challinor, a Labour district councillor, but said that he had tried to take the megaphone to respond to allegations about his expense claims in the European parliament.
