Hi guys

I am considering getting a 2nd Sapphire r9 290 Tri-x

Currently Running with an AMD FX8350

How big would the bottleneck be... or how high would i need to OC to avoid this?

Was hoping to upgrade to the Z97 chipset/intel. but due to unexpected bills this might not happen :(

Thanks

There's definitely going to be a bottleneck. A quite large one.

Why do people buy FX83 systems and then want to pair it with 660 pounds worth of graphics cards :p?

You're not going to get a conventional overclock to overcome the bottleneck.

I'd jump to Intel Z97 and 4770K, then get a second R9 290 at a later date (Or just get the next die shrink flagship)
