EA Sports UFC

I don't think Bruce Lee fought in any tournaments or practiced it in reality like against an opponent. All he did was teach it and come up with a new art based on several others.

Chuck Norris though did and he was like a world champion 6 years in a row or something iirc.

What he did to publicly was 2 finger push ups and some one inch punch but never fought any opponent in a public arena.

So nobody really knows how good he actually was.

I want to play this game pretty darn bad. The Career looks great with the whole "TUF" scenario and starting out in the tournament before getting on the main stage.

We finally have some proper in-game footage. Not sure if it's PS4 or Xbox one footage. Probably PS4.

Full round of Aldo vs Pettis.

The graphics look excellent. Apparently it's 1080p at 30fps on both consoles, with some motion blur to smooth it slightly.

My only concern after watching this is that some of the animations look a bit too fast? Mostly the kicks. I mean that wheel kick Pettis did looked stupid quick. Some of the animations could be a little smoother but in general it looks good. Also probably doesn't help the people playing are spamming attacks like mad.

Look okay so far. The list of roster is lower than the previous ufc game. 99 compared to undisputed 3's 150

The roster is expected to be around 100 fighters. More than enough tbh.

Now that I've watched the video in 1080p fullscreen actually the animations look pretty decent, although my original criticism is still valid. The graphics are really good. Even the crowd looks amazing.

movement when circling doesn't look smooth or fast enough tbh or realistic.

other than that it's looking decent to a point, 1080P and only 30fps for a game like this is very disappointing, there's nothing going on it's 2 controllable characters in a ring, it's not as if they are rendering a full state like GTA V or a full city like watch dogs, etc with moving vehicles, people, etc, etc. it's just 2 guys in a small ring i mean if tomb raider is 1080p and 60fps then why can't this be?

At the moment, I wouldn't describe the movement around the octagon as an improvement over what I experienced in the undisputed games.

The movement in undisputed was more arcade and digital like. In terms of movement, it offered a more arcade feel. Whereas EA's UFC game offers a more simulation/analogue feel.... To me ot offers a different experience. One (that I hope) will be as good and enjoyable as undisputed's effort.

As for the overall presentation.... It looks great!

Well, Tomb Raider wasn't really 60fps. The framerate dipped a lot in the outdoor scenes. And the graphics on this are tons more detailed than Tomb Raider.

Apparently EA did some focus tests and found people actually preferred the look of 30fps with blur, and that 60fps didn't bring a significant improvement in a game like this, so they went with 30fps with motion blur and put power into more detailed graphics instead of extra frames.

Watched that video, made me more excited for this game, the graphics look stunning, the speed is a tad too quick but only ever so slightly, still looks fun though. Aldo's animations are a a bit off as opposed to real life but still looks great, after all its a game. I look forward the career and hopefully some enjoyable knockouts online, the ps4 share factory could be great for this game.

The video looks very good, but as others have said, it looks a little too quick for me. Hopefully that's something that can be altered in game if needed, for a more arcadey or more simulation style feel. Looking forward to trying the demo when it's released.

it looks like tekken tbh, guys can take 3 punches/kicks to the face and keep on going forward with no ill effects what so ever.

try doing that in real life. it's just another beat em up, looks very arcadey. also look at how easy it is to get up from a takedown and the guys movements when getting up from a takedown, in real life they would never get up like that so close to their opponent, it's just leaving yourself wide open.

also pettis connects 2-3 times and the last one is enough to knock aldo sideways and to the ground, he then after that connects with a flying elbow to the face. aldo gets up from the ground 2 seconds later as if nothing happened.

there was no slowdown, no injury sustained, also moved around after that exchange as he did at the start of the fight.

looks far too easy to get out from takedowns, in real life if you get taken down your normally down for the rest of the round unless your a jiu jitsu expert and the other guy is a boxer.

it just looks like tekkens version of MMA tbh they have tried to make it a slugfest type game whereas MMA is tactical, using your strengths and not all about striking.

doesn't seem to be any wrestling at all or maybe it was just the small video never showed off any of the ground game on purpose.

adding bruce lee, etc it looks like EA are trying to appeal to the masses rather than hardcore MMA fans. Bruce Lee never fought anyone publically in his life, it's a farce he is in the game. Why didn't they add Jackie Chan too?

People moaned previously about how they hardly ever went to the decision and wanted more fights to go to the decision, it seems speeding it up and being able to take a few more shots is there thought process on giving what the majority wanted.
