BMW M135i

Saw mineral grey with red coral on a M135i in the showroom the other day, does look incredible but nothing beats estoril!

My mum just ordered an M sport in mineral grey with red leather.....unfortunately is an X1 :( hopefully it won't look too bad in m Sport guise)

If anything sums up how M Sport has become purely about bling the existence of the X1 M Sport must surely be it. Low power diesel fitted? :p

Obviously, with the sport suspension deletion! :p auto sdrive 20d

To be honest I sold her the M Sport thing. Think the X1 is an awful looking car so tried to salvage a tiny bit back by at least having her choose the M sport version. Got her to test drive a 120d m sport, 320d sport and then she saw the X1 in the showroom and decided she liked the 'higher' seating position coming from an X3.

Who am I to argue with female logic. She wanted a Qashqai originally! :o

Me and my old man just picked up one of these on a 2 year lease deal, must say they are epic fun in sport mode :)

Didn't pick any optional extras with our spec to keep the costs down although I would be interested in the auto as it's had pretty damn good praise just about everywhere.

MPG is exceptional against the performance that you get, currently averaging about 28mpg with us mainly using the car to waft/blat around A roads.

Most disappointing thing for me though is the wheel, I really can't get used to it and feel it's just too chunky and feels awkward! Apart from that it's an excellent car.

Just for variety here is my white one:

Everyone comments on how nice the wheels are.

Spec is:

Pro Media
Auto Box
Harman/Kardon Hi-Fi
Black leather with brushed aluminum

Car defiantly has 2 personalities...lazy cruiser one minute and an absolute animal the next

(and thats coming from a near 400hp Focus RS)

Having previously owned a 135i and 335i I do kinda miss the engine. But saying that, i'm used to the power delivery and torque of performance diesels now.

The thing that grated on me was the lack of cabin space in the 1-series coupe/hatchbacks; has that changed at all with the new 2-series? Also, I am curious as to any owners who've taken their M135i or M235i to a rolling road for figures - BMW have had a history of downplaying their big engines' power, and just curious to see if the new N55s follow suit?

Thought I'd post in here rather than make a new thread. Hope you dont mind lol.

Woke up Saturday morning with an itch to go for a drive. So jumped into the car and punched in details to a Morrisons in Bracknell. Couldve gone to my nearest which is a 15min walk away but I wanted to go for a drive lol!

Sorry to butt in.

Thinking of replacing my leased Corsa SXi 1.3 CDTi with a 116d M Sport. What are they like and do you have any information on what the switch to rear wheel drive would be like?

I love mineral grey and the coral red leather, however the white paint really pops with the darker wheels.

I can't decide which combination I like more, but I know that the red interior is a must!

This shape of 116d or the original?

Tbh its a bottom of the barrel engine and feels like it. Its designed for company car users really, don't get me wrong its acceptable, but if you must have diesel can you afford to go up a level?
