Prepare tin foil hats - no planes hit the twin towers

Sure, I encourage skepticism but if you are doing a 1,000 piece jigsaw and you've placed 999 pieces to reveal a picture of The Eiffel Tower in the daytime and your last piece doesn't fit and looks more like a night scene, then probability would suggest you have the wrong piece and not that Jigaw is actually a depiction of the Shard Tower at Night.

I hope my metaphorical example of how most conspiracy theories come across [logically] works.

I agree again and I see your point. Nice words, it made it very clear.

However.

What I don't see is why the need for the leap up to the hate button. Some of these people may and do have stronger links than yours (education, research, family, experience)

Look.

At the end of the day the events were some of the worst witnessed.

Your point is you have better education, research, family and experience to form your opinion which I do respect.

Just please stop with the, well, I don't have to say one more time.

With bloody good reason.
They are like Facebook posters who don't do the slightest bit of research before 'Sharing' something.

Honestly some will go to huge lengths to research their theory the problem is they often aren't objective and fall foul of confirmation bias and seeing it as further validation of their theory and filtering out things that don't fit.

I find people who insist on the most recognised, backed up by the current foremost experts version of the truth as having to be the absolute truth when there is the possibility of other explanations even if slight just as annoying, if history has taught us nothing else its to keep atleast a little bit of an open mind.

I guess non of you know who John Lear actually is, this is not the first time he has come out with utter crackpot ideas. He believes there is a huge glass dome on the moon which you can see if you turn up the contrast and brightness on the Apollo photos....I am not joking.

Well they got the part about the advisor to a senior Saudi prince being behind 911 right. And that the FBI covered it all up.

And they so called "nutters" have won a lawsuit against the FBI. Lets see how the FBI get out of this one.

There's more than one if you look properly ;)

I like the American gun nuts that arm themselves with the justification that its to protect them from their own government.

Maybe they are the ones with the most sense out of both sides.

It would be fascinating to see America implode if documents came to light saying we did 9/11, JFK etc etc.

Hah! The funny thing is, the link that started this thread was stolen from Facebook after I saw a particularly dense 'friend' of mine on there post it, under the impression that it was the absolute truth :p

I only keep her as a friend for the amusing things she finds and believes. For example, a few years back when the Kony 2012 stuff had just become a media sensation, she posted 'hu the hell is koby?!'

Classic.

Have you researched how much the average conspiracy theorist researches before forming an opinion? :p

None because they only look at the bits they want to believe in.
How many times have posters on here brought proof forward of something but CT'ers wave it away.
I've asked many CT type questions on here over the years but usually my silliness is answered in the first 3 posts and then common sense kicks in.

get off Facebook or remove posters that upset you

This Social Media site is just as bad (in fact way worse in a lot of cases) but I don't want to lose this either.

Conspiracy theorists, keeping us entertained with utter guff since JFK.

Yes, but it also means that now and then the governments can pull of some pretty shady stuff and we are all primed to dismiss it.

Meta-conspiracy theory!

The government put out conspiracy theories themselves so that when they really do something far fetched and nefarious, no one believes it!

The whole Conspiracy theory is a conspiracy theory invented by conspiracy theorists when discussing conspiracy at the recent conspiracy theorists convention.

Its actually a very interesting thing he has done.
Ignoring the CC part of it, he is forcing previously unreleased data to be released.
However, whatever they do release will be said to be fabricated whatever happens :p

Such is the madness, and illogical nature of most conspiracy theorists :(

Something wasnt right about 9/11, thats all I know. I wasn't there at the time so how the **** would I know what ACTUALLY happened, I'm well aware how easily images over a screen can be manipulated though so despite the fact there was news coverage all over of planes hitting there is still a part of me that refuses to take it at face value. (Hell the BBC reported WTC7 falling 20 minutes before it actually occured which tells me someone high up within that corporation had prior knowledge of the event)

http://beforeitsnews.com/9-11-and-g...bc-for-9-11-wtc-7-cover-up-video-2440298.html

''Tony Rooke refused to pay a TV license fee because the BBC intentionally misrepresented facts about the 9/11 attacks, he alleged. It is widely known that the BBC reported the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 over 20 minutes before it occurred. WTC 7 was a 47-story skyscraper that was not hit by a plane on 9/11 but collapsed at free-fall speed later that day.

So Rooke said the BBC had to have had prior knowledge to a terror attack making them complicit in the attack. He presented the BBC footage to the judge along with a slew of other evidence, and the judge agreed that Rooke had a reasonable case to protest. Rooke was found not guilty and he was not fined for failure to pay the licensing fee.''

This in itself says something.

Also there exists testimonies of people online who were there on that day saying that they saw no planes and equally there are just as many people saying they did, the answer you'd arrive at would be whichever theory you hold a confirmation bias towards.

All I can say is, I do not know what happened or why it happened that day but some part of me deep down just refuses to just blindly accept the official story.

And to all you posters that have been labeling anyone who entertains the idea of a conspiracy as self important and arrogant etc then you're an ****** hypocrite as thats all I'm seeing you do, proclaiming you know it all and implying that these people are in someway less intelligent than yourself. Really is sickening to see someone project their own traits ono others.
