When asked why UKIP did poorly in London, a UKIP spokesperson on Radio 4 said:

"We don't tend to do well in London because it's cultural, educated and young."

A very honest thing to say for a spin doctor.

Seems like a refreshing change that a party doesn't aim to target every possible voting base and admits as much.

But at the expense of not being able to do any research on the candidate so having to vote along party lines.

I'm guessing Pat Reid wasn't liked very much?

Where can one obtain this table for his area?

Admitting that you don't appeal to educated people is pretty much saying that your policies are intellectually bankrupt.

Yes, there are a lot of immigrants in London but they're not the majority (36.7% according to the 2011 census).

I can't see any party policy's being the bastion of the intellectuals, however much their supporters think they're enlightened.

Please can UKIP voters explain to me how voting UKIP in the EU elections will get us out of Europe. It won't, it will just marginalise our voice and give us even less power.

Don't people think its a bit overkill when over a third of the English capital is non-English people?

That'll soon be 50% which I think is ridiculous.

worrying amount of ukip votes

It's the Euro elections. Does it even matter!? I'd bet there's many people who voted UKIP for the Euros, but who wouldn't vote UKIP for a proper General Election.

I wonder how many people voted for An Independence from Europe thinking it was UKIP.
I'm surprised that was allowed TBH.
I remember someone telling me about an election a while back where there was a fake Conservative party that tried to trick people due to the Conservative party's real name being "Conservative and Unionist Party" (from the merger with the old "Liberal Unionist Party"), but I can't remember the details they said.

Do you understand that UKIP are a libertarian party and what that means?
I think that's precisely why they've got most of the votes they have.

Wonder why the EU has ruled that the UK can't show the vote till Sunday? hmmmm
The EU imposing a rule on the UK? No way! :p
