Replace "tories" with "Labour" and "corporations" with 'unions" and you'd be equally correct.

They have no hope of having a majority in parliament and they know that. The best they can hope for is a coalition, probably with the conservatives, to get that one policy. Hopefully with a referendum to give the country a second chance.

The EU immigrants contributed with more taxes than they received in benefits, what do you make of this fact? If the low skilled workers weren't needed, why did companies hire them? Why pay an immigrant min. wage when you can pay a local? What huge social problems, examples?

They won't get a coalition with the conservatives though, the last thing the Tories want is to be associated with the likes of the UKIP.

One thing I hear quite a lot from the apathetic members of the electorate when giving reasons for not voting is "nothing ever changes". My thoughts are that firstly that's not true because change happens all the time, and secondly because change is hardly ever for the better, why on earth do people want change? If someone standing for election ran on a manifesto of changing as little as possible, they'd get my vote that's for sure.

Love her or hate her ( i was somewhere in the middle ) she had conviction and the balls to do what she believed in. It seems all we have now is reactionary politics where those in power just scrimp and scrape to cling to power and cling to the gravy train.

I would support a strong opinionated politician who got voted on a manifesto they STICK to over a smarmy git who lies and backtracks all the time.

Farage and his cronies have been given ONE chance to prove themselves better.... i doubt they will live upto the promise but everyone deserves a chance. I suspect they will be watched very closely now by the people who voted for them.

Plus unemployment is currently dropping and less people are claiming.

Seems that these menial jobs they are 'stealing' from lazy English people who cannot be bothered to work are in abundance.

Just proves that politicians are generally no better than dogs. Pack mentality, they will sense weakness and turn on the leader if they flinch. The main over riding concern is self gain and will guard their own when attacked.

Firstly, this only applies to EEA migrants that arrived between 2000 and 2008. From 2008 to 2011, their contribution has been either minor or negative. Non-EU migrants have never made a net contribution.

If you look at the study, you'll also note that British contributions dropped off around the start of the century, which incidentally is when immigration exploded. So the contributions you are saying could well be explained by 'they took our jobs'.

I am not personally opposed to EU immigration. It's not EU immigration (sans the Dominions) that poses the real challenge.

If some English people are indeed lazy, the solution is NOT to bring in immigrants. That is in fact the worst solution. For a start, you'll need several immigrants for every lazy person just to pay for their upkeep. Then, when those immigrants get old or when their kids get lazy, all you've done is increased the size of the problem.

Aren't these numbers skewed because of such things as "The work program" etc? When I was doing some "voluntary" (Yeah right) work under this program (Which incidentally was at one of the job centres, who wanted me to keep on working 9am - 3pm every day for no more than my 56 pound a week after my month had ended. I imagine they'd have kept me going month after month after month lol).

And then you've got 0 hour contracts, and rising apprenticeships (100 pound a week full time jobs more like)

The cities you chose were either part of another country with the non white demographic already in situ or subject to mass immigration which until the 60's London was not.
