Great divide between big cities and little England. Never thought I would see the day when working, European migration triggers so much hate among suburban populus.

The torries are pro corporation. They couldn't care a less about people. They'd rather see everyone rot for their gain. Get them out.

Funniest thing I've read all week. What did they do to upset you or was it drilled into you by your parents when young?

Actually it's a pretty accurate comment imho.

The Torries are like the republicans in America!
Low TAX's , small state, privatization, minimal regulation and let the FREE market rule!!

Excellent results for UKIP so far. Lib dems decimated and rightly so, Cons given a bloody nose, Labour gains far beneath that required for a party expected to form a majority government.
I just hope it gets better come Monday.

Labour gains far beneath blah blah blah

Erm, its currently sitting at After 75 of 161 councils. The coalition are down 275 seats, labour up 164.

Not even half way yet....

The bbd running the headline 'Farage: UKIP now 'serious players'' is a media spin overlooking labours massive gains - yet more evidence of the BBCs role as political propaganda puppets to the highest bidder.

It's exactly what happened in the US. The areas with the strongest economies, where tax income is higher than benefit expense vote for those who tend to protect benefits, expand them etc. (democracts) while the underdeveloped areas, where expenses are higher than income, vote for the populist one dimentional nutjobs - the Tea Party.

It's crazy but I hope it's just a temporary effect of the financial crisis.

Not all of them, some of them are well educated bigots be it racist, homophobic, sexist ..etc

Some? Some is such an ambiguous word, seems unfair to judge millions of others by the actions of 'some? Is there a political party that doesn't have well educated members that are racist, homophobic or sexist?

I think you will find it was the UKIP member who did that. ;)

UKIP member did what?

Does anyone remember the row over the Labour councillors in Rotherham who, based on their personal bigoted opinions, deiced that a couple who supported UKIP were not fit to be foster parents? They both lost their seats to...UKIP. Delicious irony.

Are you making a sweeping generalisation that people who voted UKIP are uneducated?
I'm saying that on average they are older, whiter & less educated - this isn't a subjective evaluation, it's a statistical fact.

I wasn't intended as an insult, just the reasoning as to why they received a smaller percentage of the vote share in London which is at odds with the traits of the average UKIP voter.

Even their own spokesperson said the same thing.

I remember that story. Pretty funny.

God listening to Cameron on the radio about getting back to facing issues that annoy the voters, and then going to say things that annoy him to!

A councillor wouldn't decide on those issues it would have be the Council workers, but the sentiment is still the same.

It all really depends how UKIP are defining "educated".

Also, calling Croydon a dump (no matter how true it is) is probably not the best idea.

The only thing that will take the wind out of UKIP's sail is an EU referendum and a significantly tougher stance on immigration.

The more people try to denigrate the views of those who back UKIP, the stronger UKIP's support will become.
