How to connect my Server to my wireless router

I've recently promoted my server to a domain controller. I'm not an admin but some of the dev work I do involves synchronising user accounts via LDAP so I needed to have AD available to me.

Anyway - now my server is not connected to the Internet. When I go into Network and Sharing Center' it shows:

(This computer --> corp.mydomain.com --X--> Internet

So how do I get it back onto the Internet? I need to pull down data from remote sources. It was working fine before.

BTW it's a Windows Server 2008 VM running on a Mac via Fusion.

Network connection issue? potentially the VM not able to connect out to your mac?

It's OK - I think the issue was somewhere between DNS and the default gateway.
I switched it of. Then switched it back on again. Hey Presto!

It is worrying that a reboot is needed on a server OS to fix issues. It is meant to run 24/7/365 without reboots (theoretically).

Normally yes, but this is just a dev VM running on my laptop. Still weird though. Internet connection is available for a while then stops again.

Once it is setup, yes.
If you institute a major network change, then a reboot is often inevitable.
