Who has supported racists, those who vote UKIP? Also, why the intense hatred? Such strong feelings are often associated with psychological problems. I mean, I am not overly fond of Al Qaeda, but I wouldn't say I have an intense hatred.

I can empathise with Gilly's feelings over racism. Few things that humans have come up with have caused so much suffering and misery for so many people in history.

I don't encounter Al Qaeda in day to day life. Racists, however....
