Ha ha
Keep on thinking that.
The main parties wont deal with UKIP so they are shut out anyway, I bet labour and tory would do some sort of essential voting deal in a minority government if it shut out Farage, thats exactly what I would do!

did you a favour then![]()
They haven't done badly, but also haven't done as well as they were expected to. 400+ gained councillors were expected, they are at just under 300 now
So thats a majority of councils and 96 seats away from a total majority of seats. They are clearly winning, but not hard enough for your tastes? What is your source that they were supposed to win by a landslide? As it is its not even close!
The exact numbers are largely meaningless. The council seats under contest in this local election are not a random sample of all councils. In this case, more Labour councils were under contest than Conservative but, remember, the Conservatives hold more councils than Labour overall.
I'm not sure whether the nationwide picture has even shifted enough to put Labour ahead overall.
Not all of them, some of them are well educated bigots be it racist, homophobic, sexist ..etc
Well done BasVegas, a great reason to never visit and spend money in your borough!!

If you're in or near the town centre then you'll se a huger number of foreigners, and unfortunately just as many native knuckle draggers.
I take it you were in Eastwood when this happened?
Well one was an actual real life person and the other is a meme. You're right, it is easy to totally miss the point of something and then post irrelevance in response, you've managed it throughout the thread.
I think the point is, we know that person is a UKIP voter.lol so AM I really that wrong?
easy ain't it?
I voted on Thursday and then did vote match just now. Thank god they matched up.
It's simplistic and unhelpful to imagine that UKIP voters are uniformly racists or bigots. UKIP has done a fine line in appealing to racist tendencies among the populace - that much is beyond doubt - but that doesn't mean that the only people voting for them are doing so on racist grounds. Hell, right here in this thread we had a poster who said he was voting UKIP because he was a Tory voter who didn't like the bedroom tax and wanted to protest (no, I don't understand that one either) and there are many more from both sides of the spectrum who are voting along A Plague On Both Their Houses lines in the traditional protest fashion. Others are voting UKIP as a single issue vote against Europe (and there are decent arguments against the EU that aren't based on racism) and are happy to accept the rest of UKIP simply to make that point.
