Asus Phoebus gets quite warm ?

Is it normal for the Phoebus to get quite warm ?
I have 3 fans blowing in from the front over the GPU and soundcard and there's a nice big space between the cards so airflow isn't an issue.

It does take power from the PCI-E connector so it must generate some sort of heat bud. I've got one with a coldplate attached to the back of it and I always notice its warm to the touch even though I have hardly anything generating heat in my case (gpu and cpu are watercooled)

I do admit that without I noticed a substantial loss in sound quality
