Thanks for the info but I can't see anything in reference to inlet/outlet orientation other than running them parallel to ram or did I miss something in that comparison?

Rotation

Block rotation does sometimes matter. It matters most for blocks that use channels rather than pins because the cpu cores are laid out on the 3930K in a way that favors the block water channels to be lined up vertically when mounted in a “normal atx tower case”. The improvement varies from block to block on the order of 1-3C. See the chart in the port threading section to determine which blocks are correctly aligned by default (horizontal logos/text when in a “normal atx tower case”).

What is the difference between all the various EK Supremacy blocks? Could someone link me to the best supremacy if there is a difference? At the moment I have the XSPC Raystorm.

Essentially they're all the same, just different finishings/socket compatibility.

Ah right, no doesn't make any difference, just make sure your inlet is the inlet for the flow direction.
