What settings are you using? Presets? Is there a cf profile in the 14.4's? If not try force AFR via CCC.

Will have a play later and see which setting is the most demanding.

Thanks!

High with 2x, 2560x

Tbf, it's a pirate copy you guys are playing and moaning about performance. Wait until it's released and if there's performance patches and/or driver updates to increase performance.

It's just typical Ubisoft. I don't see it getting better on release. So the money I spent on WDs is most likely to be a waste for me

But you're right in principle

How many big budget titles have been released in full working order? Let alone a game that's been delayed more than the rog swift. I wouldnt be surprised if this still needed extensive patching 3/4 months down the line.

I don't wish to start this here but I do not accept that games need patching. Look at the nonsense of BF4. The fact you consider this acceptable - or at least your words indicate it here - means that the gaming industry have done their job to convince you it's ok

A work mate of mine has it on PC as he has the physical copy and yeah the performance is horrid, At the moment he's running 2 x 780 Ti's in SLI, He's also tried it with SLI disabled and the results are roughly the same being roughly 50 fps maxed out no aa 1080p.

anyone thought the pirated version is just an old build & release on tuesday will be much better? not that ive played it yet but from news does not look to good
edit above :(

It's the retail build, my understand is that the only reason it's been cracked early is that people are able to play offline (Retail discs).

You'd expect to see an AMD Driver soon.

Also, using a pirate copy - you should taken away and flogged :D

Borrowed for the purpose of performance testing, I've already paid for the game it's self.

Games leaked this close to release will never be an older build, plus I have it on good authority that the source is a good one

Bad luck for the 12 year olds still using torrents :p

It doesn't have to be specific to torrents. Torrents are just a medium, likewise are your "superior" methods of piracy, nothing to prevent the same build going there.

most of the versions of the torrents that contain the virus do not contain the game at all. sometimes its just a txt file with an exe . common sense is what is needed. or simply buy the game.

This is so true, I roll my eyes when I see people state "well game X was broken on release as well". Just because BF4 was a buggy mess on release, does not excuse further shoddy business practices. I can't understand how people think this is an OK practice to wait months or even years until a game works as it was advertised.

Md5 checks. If its been tampered with in any way the hash will be different.

Anyhow, talk on this subject is forbidden at Ocuk, so can we focus on game performance?

@badboy. No, it's not acceptable at all, but it's common in this industry and it's not likely to change, personally dice for example should refund 50% back to users for releasing a buggy pos. ... not going to happen though is it? As for games industry convincing me? Grow up, it's simply knowing what I can and can't do about a situation.

My point is, why did people think this was going to work out of the box? Prior to the actual release date.... If we are lucky users get a release day patch.

From what I've read, the single card performance at ultra seems about right. They just need to get crossfire/SLI working and scaling properly.
