Father got ripped off - what to do

If your dad is anywhere near Newcastle, we'll replace his timing chain and service the car for him, and you wil get change from £300.

My techs can do these in their sleep, it's a very common failure.

I'm sure you would have change from £600 from a main dealer, someone is trying to take him for a ride.

This^ my Corsa a yearish ago cost me £220 for the timing/tensioner change.

It soon starts ticking again though as vauxhall are ****. I make it my goal in life to persuade people to buy something other than a Corsa.

I can't see how being deaf entitles you to higher rate mobility allowance either? We have spinal cord injured patients unable to walk more than 30m who will now be excluded from higher rate mobility.

Bad luck bud, but to be fair, you really should be a bit clued up if you are buying cheap used cars, and if you dont know anything pay for a vehicle check, its up to the buyer to ask the right questions and inspect the car thoroughly prior to handing over the cash. Cars are complex machines, you really need to do a bit of homework prior to viewing/buying.
