24: Live Another Day

Lol, Jack stole a gun from a normal bobby...good one.

I like it, I like all 24 though to be fair.

Also, its not a case of 35mm vs digital, its the fact that all US versions are filmed at 24fps, and this one isn't. Filming at 24fps is what gives all US shows that cinematic feel.

Lol, Jack stole a gun from a normal bobby...good one.

It was outside the US embassy, DPG would very likely be present who are routinely armed.

That being said, the idea that US agents (or criminals) are running around with guns, shooting up London, without the Met seemingly doing anything about it, is a bit silly. But then again they've done the same thing in every previous season I guess, I think these things just become more noticeable when they're on home territory!

I don't enjoy this series. I liked the first 4 series but after that it just became boring as its the same thing every time. terrorists and jack trying to stop them with everyone against him, even though he is trying to stop a terrorist attack everyone would rather stop him.

Also I don't like that female techie she is so annoying and now with an even cheesier new look and setup.

I agree with the points Raymond and others have made. I'm really not enjoying this season.

Me and the missus have watched all the seasons and really enjoyed them (with some seasons being better than others) but there just seems to be something missing from this one. I don't like the fact it's set in London for a start.

We're up to episode 3 and to be honest I've got more than enough to watch. I may come back to it once it's finished and maybe watching it in one go would be better... maybe.

Agree with your point khrest - writing doesn't seem as strong this time.

I'm pretty disappointed. This season has been about as implausible as you can get so far. I've just been watching thinking "wtf, as if that just happened" far too many times. Not good.

Sadly, I can't disagree with the comments here. This season seems a disappointment so far, and it feels reminiscent of Season 6 in a few ways (where it got ridiculously predictable and stale).

It could pick up later on, but I don't feel very optimistic.

Just imagine csi came to London for a season .............it would affect your judgement of the series as a whole. Lets not forget , 24 got popular from UK viewers on season 1 . It bombed ( slightly ) on initial release in usa .

This season is a a nice Nod to all the UK fans that made it what it is

Problem is it's so US-centric so far that the setting doesn't really matter. London is just a backdrop to it, nothing more. American president, American military, American intelligence services. The only Brits are the bad guys!

I really want to like it but you could drive several double decker buses through the plot holes and inconsistencies in the latest 2 episodes :| its gone from faintly ridiculous to all out ludicrous :(

"You need to find a computer with a 4G connection to upload the data..."

And they were talking about sockets again. The technobabble has not improved! :p

4th episode and I have to say I'm possibly, ever so slightly warming to the new series. Wouldn't want to commit myself yet but that was the best episode of the new series so far IMO.

Agreed, the plot is beyond awful. But nothing beats jack in badass mode or the potential of it happening.

Kate being forced out and then still being able to watch the operation unfold and warn them was so stupid, why even have that in the plot line at all if there still going to use her? just nonsense.

Part of me hopes they turn Kate into a badass and she becomes the main character for future seasons if it makes it past this one. Jack is great and all but it's mostly just nostalgia for the early seasons and the more i see Yvonne Strahovski on screen the better.

Bit of a shame for Kiefer really as i can't see him having much success outside of 24. It's just so hard to not expect him to go all Jack on people now. Touch didn't do him any favours, especially when they threw Renee into the mix in one of the episodes. He's well and truly typecast unless he can pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Did you hear about the time he went Jack on someone in real life? Apparently it was a Glasgow Kiss to the face after a guy bumped into a lady he was with who then refused to apologise!

I used to like his film roles once upon a time...but Pompei was truly awful!

I watched Pompeii the other day. He truly is awful in it, with that ridiculous accent. He's not helped by the script at all.

I'm enjoying this season so far. It's been so long without Jack that I'm just glad to have him back. You can forgive the silliness of it, because it's 24.

"You probably think I'm at a disadvantage. I promise you, I'm not" being my favourite bit so far. Stone cold badass.
