Hello, I have a 750, 750ti Maxwell query,

My questions is about g-sync compatibility, On overclockers it states they can use g-sync in the sales text but from what I can tell the only models with the display port required are the EVGA models.

Is this correct?

Does the EVGA 750 & 750ti's support g-sync, and am I correct in thinking the other branded 750's & 750ti's from MSI, Asus, Gainward etc won't be able to use it?

I'm looking at replacing my 7850 back up card with a ti and I wanted to keep g-sync compatibility as an option.

Thanks a lot.

If it doesn't have native displayport then it doesn't support gsync.

If it doesn't have dp yet states it supports gsync in the product description then Ocuk should be made aware and change it.

It could be Ocuk are using a generic product info wall of text for each card.

Quite surprised there are 750ti's lacking dp

Edit: after a rough look it appears if you want dp/gsync it's evga or nothing.

Way to promote nvidia, ref design of their newest silicone doesn't pack the features to use their latest display tech

That is a strange one, isn't it, obviously the chip supports it but vendors decide not to use a display port connector.
Unless when the pre built G-Sync monitors come out they have DVI or HDMI connectors that are still going through the built in G-Sync scaler these cards definitely won't be able to use it.
Not sure if G-Sync only works over Display port, or if it was just those first adapted monitors only had Display port connectors.

NVidia don't want you giving them £100, they want you to give them £450 on a nice 780Ti. ;)

Ironic, given that G-sync is aimed at helping remove the stutter from low FPS and as such the 780Ti is less likely to suffer from the problem. :)

From what I understand only displayport ticks the right boxes to work with gsync. I wouldn't be surprised to see all gsync monitors go dp only.

Yep, makes low frame rates feel smoother yet remove the feature from a line of cards that would benefit from it the most :p

EVGA is the way to go with the 750Ti's. Quality made, DP and huge clock boosts. Prices are all similar between the brands but EVGA offers best. If you're gonna pick one up personally I would go for the EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti Superclocked. Small card no external power needed, DP, and big clocks.

Unless you are certain you will be getting an expensive G-sync monitor (assuming it would work with 750 that is), why would you want to downgrade from your 7850? The 750s are slower.

Jap, as I know G-Sync will only work with DP also in the future...
Aaand Jap, we thought G-Sync is a nice feature on a "midrange" card like the 750 TI, I think we will also see more and cheaper Gsync screens soon that "everybody" can benefit from this...

I'm not 100% sure that I will wait until the Swift monitor appears but I've been saving up with it as my first choice of monitor upgrade since it was announced and I noticed this with the Maxwell 750's and thought the lack of support was worth pointing out to people if I was right about it.
