Just received the EVGA GeForce GTX 780 SC ACX Superclock.

Fresh installed Nvidia drivers and MSI AFterburner 3.0.0.

When I try to change Core Clock, it remains the same "967".
I can change "Memory Clock" and that changes properly.

Any ideas?

As my card does not seem to clock up Core only VRam in GPU-Z with the render running where as my 680 4GB did.

Also a few games its not clocking past Base clock inc Mafia II so its same FPS as my old card as Core is not boosting.

I have tested with clean install and no OC Apps (letting Driver control it) and both Presision and Afterburner and even NVInspector to clock it.

Even making a 2D and 3D profile does not help in many situations.

Core and voltage are all over the place down to as low as under 1.0v.

I am going to see if I have thermal pads on the VRM's/VRam as some peeps have found out there cards were missing them.

I CBA TBH and have not even played a game properly since I got this card.

Okay, full windows re-install. Latest Nvidia drivers and MSI AB 3.0.0.

During game;
Altering Core Clock looks like it is working, or atleast it shows the value increase in GPU-Z.
However MSI AB is now showing a core clock of 575 which only decreases to 324 out of game!

Battlefield 4 freezes, need to END PROCESS, within 2 minutes of playing.

Small area of artifacts in Google Chrome! WTF

Hi, are you able to cross test the card in a different system? This would be the most simple way to make sure if there is a problem with your card.
Which driver did you go for with the last clean install?
Did you already try to replace the card in the system and blow a little bit in the PCI.E and power connectors?

Hi Dominik, I appreciate the reply. I don't really have another system to try this in currently.

I'm on the very latest Nvidia (337.88 I believe)

The weird thing is I had an EVGA 780 ACX SC Classified (the 997ish stock core clock) in this system about 2 weeks ago and had no issues at all, so I'm not sure that this could be an issue with PSU for example.

I'll try to reseat the card and clean the PCI lane and power connectors. Will test the card again today to see if it crashes still and maybe try going to the previous nvidia drivers

Yes, I would also suggest to test also an older driver, when you do so please clean out the actually installed one with a third party tool like driver fusion to make sure it is 100% off the system in case this was causing the issue. When you reseat the card please do also carefully clean the PCI.E port of the card. During the production this do get covered with silicone, in case there is a thin layer left on it it could also cause issues... If none of this will help I would suggest to handle RMA with the card as the Classi one did work before without any issues. You can handle RMA with the place of purchase or directly with EVGA. In case you want to handle RMA with us and need assistance just let me know.
