BMW and M Power Owners

So something I think I'm going to need to sort is the wheels. I currently have the 19" Style 332's which come with the Dynamic Pack. I really don't like them - I don't like the way they look and cleaning them is a horrendous task :p

The trouble is almost none of the factory wheel options look that appealing, with the possible exception of the Style 351M's. Aftermarket sounds like a potential minefield.

Any ideas?

The M359s look superb, love them on mine. I think they'd suit yours as well.

Replaced the LCD screen on my BMW Professional head unit yesterday (130i M Sport). Getting the unit out of the car, a doddle... Getting the screen off the pcb was a nightmare...

They solder 4 hooks in place for the metal housing that holds the screen in.

Either way, no more dead pixels, my display would be 100% dead after 20 mins driving, really annoyed me. Bought the car a couple of weeks ago. I got the display from here:

Finally glad to see what radio station I'm on.

Next, I will be putting new disks and pads (yellow pads) on. Then finally, tackling the standard air box and hopefully fabricate something up to get a twin cone setup in there.

I like those. They look like BBS CH-R's but with an extra pair of spokes. They look better than the CH-R's.

Hmmm, they seem to look good.

Is it an SE Fox?

If so, I think the M359s will look very aftermarket and unfortunately the 351Ms will make it look like you're trying to dress it up as an M-Sport.

Without going up to the 20s, I really think you have the best OEM wheels available.

I think they look good, remember he is going to M-Sport kit it too, so they would look just fine :)

Didnt realise he is adding the M-Sport bodywork. Should look quite good then, but think I would opt for the 351M in that case for the OEM look.

EDIT: Although as he'll already be paying for modified insurance, might as well go the whole hog and stick some BBS on there :)

10 530d SE with Dynamic Pack, Pro Media, Adaptive Xenons, Heated Seats, Sports Auto and Folding mirrors. 29k miles and the right side of 20k.. just :p

That is some deal for under 20k. With you on the wheels, they look bland imo. The ones Muffin linked on the 550i on the previous page look amazing....

Is £15,800 to much for a 2007, 50k 335i m sport then!!?

For that money you should be able to get a 2008 which is the lower tax bracket,
And considering I spent £9k on a 2006 SE with all the trimmings, nearly £16k seems excessive

Surely the money being spent on M Sport bumpers, wheels, etc could have just been spent on.... an M Sport?

If they're still out of budget, wait a bit longer? Or has your usage changed and you need a diesel or automatic or something?

I've not really decided yet however the bumpers are hilariously cheap on Ebay as it doesn't seem like the demand is there as it is for the older models yet - ie, 100 quid per bumper. It's almost worth stockpiling them for the future given how expensive they are for E39's :D

An M Sport was £4-5k more, which seemed fairly daft for what amounted to different bumpers and wheels and suspension I didn't want. The other M Sport features, ie high gloss shadowline, anthracite headlining, seats etc are all fitted as part of the Dynamic Pack anyway.

Its very well specced & AUC - I was waiting on a video walkaround as its in preparation. Id go and have a look and with possible px in mind so cost to change wouldnt be what they want!

Didnt realise it was circa £500 tax!! Ill forget that car then. I can afford but im not paying that to the government each year!!

Finding a well specced 335i coupe with nav, parking, xenons (blue preferably) is a damn pain!

Didnt know that! Thanks Fox :)

edit: Salewsman just advised the cars sold. But still on AUC as waiting preparation, numptys!

Fair enough :)

What prompted the move to an F10 though, out of interest?

I have always wanted an F10, nothing else interested me really so it was the obvious choice.

The E39 always seems to have something wrong with it lately which is fine for a toy you have to fiddle with but annoying on a car you want to just work.

Loving the automatic too, another big factor.
